We took part in a local tour and hiked for four hours from the third peak, Pico Arieiro, to the first peak, Pico Ruivo. Our group of more than ten people completed the trip smoothly and enjoyed the mountain scenery of Madeira together! I would like to say that Madeira is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean and the water was extremely cold. I also forced myself to immerse my whole body in it. Maybe because I was weak, I could not stay in the water for long. Even though there was sunshine, my whole body was shaking. But I have to say that this natural pool facing the endless Atlantic Ocean is quite comfortable. In addition, the tour guide also took us to see natural waterfalls and majestic sea cliffs. Although this trip to Madeira is physically demanding, it is also an alternative experience. Finally, I would like to share with you a little information. The runway of Madeira Airport is built on a hillside and is very short. Coupled with the strong crosswind, it is very difficult for aircraft to land. Therefore, it has the title of "one of the most dangerous airports in the world". Pilots traveling to and from this island must undergo special training. No wonder the passengers clapped when the plane landed smoothly at Madeira Airport. There were many people on the airport observation deck.
