Amazing trip to the acropolis. This is definitely “must visit” place in Greece. You will be exited of seeing all this huge ancient buildings made of pure marble. Big respects to the team who are working on the reconstruction of the sites, you can see a big jog they have done where the “Snow White” marble parts are, these are the new ones. I highly recommend to enter the acropolis from the main entrance despite huge lines for tickets and to the entrance also! It was surreal to walk around what used to be the home of the famous Greek gods and goddesses, which was named after the goddess of wisdom - Athena. The Parthenon is right outside of downtown Athens! This time, I took a morning walk from a nearby hotel, and headed there as soon as the gates opened. As I walked up the stone steps, I could see the huge Parthenon and the Athens cityscape right in front of me, which was very impressive. [Sightseeing Tips] ○Morning is recommended! →I had heard that it gets very crowded during the day, so I arrived about 20 minutes before the gates opened. Dozens of people were already in line at this time. In the afternoon, it seems that it gets too crowded and you can't get in, or you have to wait for several hours. ○Buy tickets in advance →I went before the gates opened, but there was quite a line at the ticket booth.
