Rainy Season at Pa Bong Piang, Chiang Mai.
The rainy season has returned. For those looking for a natural green escape, I recommend "Pa Bong Piang" in Mae Chaem district, Chiang Mai. Here, rice is planted only once a year, and the best time to visit is during the rainy season, when you can enjoy the lush green rice fields as far as the eye can see, surrounded by mountain views. After the rain, you can experience the mist and the cool, moist air, taking in the fresh air with every breath. Each month offers a different view of the rice fields:
👉Late July - Early August: The beginning of rice planting, you can see the young rice plants and the reflection of water in the fields.
👉Mid-August - Early October: High season with lush green rice fields, morning fog, and stunning views.
👉Mid-October - Early November: The rice fields turn golden, ready for harvest, offering yet another beautiful scene.
For a quick visit, you can do a one day trip, but I recommend staying at least one night for a truly good feeling. It's very peaceful with a great atmosphere. There are plenty of accommodations to choose from now, though they may not be as comfortable as hotels, like huts in the middle of the fields. Activities are limited to eating, sleeping, taking photos, and simply soaking in the good vibes.
