Exploring Zurich's Enchanting Cityscape
#cityscape #100waysoftravel #switzerland #zurich #Linderhof
During our brief stroll through Zurich city centre, our main goal was to visit Lindenhof, a notable filming location from the famous Korean drama Crash Landing on You.
The cityscape of Zurich is truly enchanting, with its blend of old-world charm and modern elegance. As we wandered through the streets, we were captivated by the stunning architecture of the city’s iconic churches, such as the Grossmünster and Fraumünster, their spires standing tall against the skyline.
The Limmat River, flowing through the heart of the city, is spanned by beautifully crafted bridges like the Rathausbrücke, offering picturesque views of both the old town and the contemporary city beyond. It was a perfect blend of history and beauty.

Zurich old town, Switzerland
Zurich’s Old Town: The historic heart of the city beats on both sides of the Limmat river. Here guild houses, churches, historic squares, and hidden-away places nestle alongside each other. Zürich’s Old Town, known as the Altstadt, encompasses what was the entire city before 1893. Cobbled and flagstone lanes lead you around landmarks such as the Grossmünster cathedral and Fraumünster church (see below), rows of towering 17th-century buildings with multi-coloured facades, and a stone bridge across the River Limmat.

Zurich is the largest city in Switzerland and for a outdoor enthusiasts who like nature Zurich won't be my 1st choice of travel. But if you are someone who want to understand about the old times and want to enjoy the best traditional switzerlander food, then yes Zurich is the first place that you should explore since most major international carrier also fly via Zurich right?
Zurich is separated by the old town and new town and you will know the difference with the cobblestone and the houses along the streets and by the water have the medieval architecture.
Also do remember to visit the love lock bridge at muhlesteg which stretches across the Seine River where you will see many padlocks hang on the bridge railings to symbolise like locking if love for couples.
Also all around Zurich, you will find many restaurants here serving traditional food like rosti, cheese fondues and amazing desserts but just a warning, eating out in Switzerland isn't gonna be cheap!

Stunning city with its medieval architecture
Lucerne is a city Switzerland famous for itspreserved medieval architecture, sits amid snowcapped mountains on Lake Lucerne. Its colorful Altstadt (Old Town) is bordered on the north by 870m. Museggmauer (Musegg Wall), a 14-century rampart. The covered Kapellbrücke (Chapel Bridge), built in 1333, links the Aldstadt to the Reuss River's right bank.
We flew in to Zurich and stayed here 2 nights during our Switzerland trip. The city is compact and easy to walk around. There are many interesting things to see in this city . The Lion Monument, Old Town, Chapel Bridge, and Glacier Garden are all within walking distance of one another

Wonderful trip to Switzerland
Recently, I was fortunate to set foot on the beautiful land of Switzerland. Switzerland is known for its magnificent natural scenery and rich cultural heritage, making this trip full of expectations and surprises.
The first stop is Zurich, a city that is both modern and ancient. Walking on the bank of Lake Zurich, the lake is crystal clear, and the Alps mountain range in the distance is like a natural picture. The old town, with its cobblestone lanes and medieval architecture, feels like stepping back in time. Here, I visited the famous Zurich Cathedral, climbed to the top of the church tower, overlooking the whole city, the scenery is incredible.
Then I head to Interlaken, a town between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz that is the gateway to the Jungfraujoch. Take the gear train up the Jungfraujoch, passing through lush valleys and snow-capped peaks on the way with spectacular views. Standing on the top of the Jungfraujoch, overlooking the entire Alps, it is amazing that nature is a workmanship.
The last stop is Geneva, a cosmopolitan city that is home not only to the European headquarters of the United Nations, but also to many international organizations. The fountain sprays high above Lake Geneva, symbolizing the vitality and prosperity of the city. Take a stroll by the lake, enjoy the flower clocks and gardens on the lake, and feel the elegance and tranquility of Geneva.
This trip to Switzerland will always be cherished in my memory.#switzerland #interlaken
