Old Jaffa: Where History Meets the Tel Aviv Skyline 🌊🏙️
Just south of Tel Aviv lies Old Jaffa (Yafo/Yafa) — one of the world’s oldest port cities, with over 4,000 years of history. Walking here feels like stepping through time: narrow stone alleys, ancient arches, and the scent of the sea all around 🌿.
One of the most charming spots is the Zodiac Quarter, where each alley is named after a horoscope sign ♑♊♌. Wandering these streets feels like following the stars — and each turn leads to art galleries, hidden courtyards, or cozy cafés.
What makes Jaffa truly unique is its cultural blend: Jewish, Arab, and Christian traditions live side by side, giving the city a vibrant, authentic atmosphere. And from the top of the hill, the skyline of Tel Aviv spreads out before you — old meets new, history meets modern life 💙.
💡 Tip: Stay for sunset — watching the sun dip behind Tel Aviv’s towers from Jaffa’s old port is unforgettable 🌅.

We walked along the beach from Tel Aviv to the old town of Jaffa.
In fact, you can also borrow a bicycle from the hotel. Riding a bicycle is the most labor-saving!
The various scenic spots in the ancient city are not far from each other.
It takes about 2 to 3 hours to walk and see.
The old town is full of historical relics, narrow old streets, souvenir shops, and restaurants. It feels like you have walked into a European country and does not feel like you are in the Middle East at all.
Two photo spots recommended
1. Go to Jaffa Port to watch the sunset in the evening
2. Abrasha Park is a great place to take photos of the coastline and Jaffa Port

[Tel Aviv] The port where Jonah, known from the "Tale of the Whale," set out⚓️
Located on the Mediterranean coast of Israel, Old Jaffa is a port town with over 4,000 years of history, and has flourished since ancient times, even appearing in the Old Testament!
It can be accessed from the center of Tel Aviv by walking along the seaside boardwalk in about 30 minutes, and is an area with cobblestone streets and an oriental atmosphere☝🏽
The old town is lined with historical buildings, galleries, cafes, and restaurants, and is enjoyable just to stroll around. In particular, the clock tower in the square where the remains of the Ottoman government offices are lined up attracts the attention of visitors as a symbol of Jaffa✨
Jaffa is also said to be the port from which Jonah, known for the "Tale of the Whale," departed, and is a place where religious history is deeply felt.
Why not visit this area, where history and culture blend together, while taking in the beautiful scenery of the Mediterranean.
