As I'm a big fan of Arab cuisines, and Ampang is a city with lots of Arab restaurants, we decided to stay at Oakwood Hotel Residence Address - 222, Jln Ampang, Kampung Datuk Keramat, 50450 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur Ambiance/Facilities - Nothing much facilities there that amazed me, usual like others hotel. Oh yeah, they have77 a Starbucks machine there! Highlights - The key part is that, it's a strategic location. Can go to Qasar Balqis which took about 10 minutes, Hadramawt Kitchen Ampang is 1 minute away by cars and walkable distance to La Bodega, Kenny Hills Bakers and Victoria Station. Avg. I’ve stayed in the number of hotels in Kuala Lumpur over the years but in the end I always prefer Oakwood Hotel and Residence and here’s why I think so. 1. Oakwood Hotel and Residence is located in a safe area surrounded by embassies and consulates. It is fairly close to KLCC and public transport so getting to the hotel is simple and great. The hotel also provides good parking for a decent price of 8MYR a day. The parking is inside the building so your car is safe from the rain and thieves. 300 and 303 bus takes you directly to KLCC, but make sure to buy your touch n go card for easier commute since the bus doesn’t accept cash. 2. Oakwood Hotel and Residence offers bigger rooms with a living room and a small kitchen so you can have a lot of space to yourself in the room. It is great especially if you’re traveling as a couple. If you’re traveling as a family, you have an option to book joining rooms, so you can have access to a living room area and 2 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms. 3. Swimming pool at Oakwood Hotel and Residence is big and wide so you can truly enjoy your holidays while chilling by the pool and swimming up and down the pool alone or with family and friends. There is a kiddy pool as well for your little ones. 4. The gym at Oakwood Hotel and Residence is truly great with new equipment, air-conditioners, toilet, showers and drinking water. 5. My favorite thing about Oakwood Hotel and Residence is free self laundry room. Bring your own detergent and you can wash your clothes in the laundry room, there are dryer machines as well so you don’t need to worry about drying your clothes afterwards. It is great since most of hotels do not have this option. 6. Another great thing about Oakwood Hotel is the water filter so you never need to buy drinking water and you can have unlimited drinking water at any time. I’ve stayed in many hotels and apartments in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia whenever I visited throughout the years and I can definitely say that Oakwood Hotel’s swimming pool is the best! Here’s why: It is outdoors. Unfortunately many swimming pools I encountered in Kuala Lumpur have some sort of roof or they are on the rooftop of the high rise building which isn’t great because there is never any shade on the rooftop. Oakwood Hotel’s pool has a shade until 12pm so you don’t need to worry about getting burned. Oakwood Hotel’s swimming pool is big, 1.5m deep, wide and long! So you can swim laps 🏊‍♀️ in this swimming pool and properly exercise. For the exact same reasons there are not any children there since it’s way too deep for them. There is a kiddy pool available for the little ones. Swimming pool is located right outside the gym so after sweating for an hour, it is just perfect to cool yourself down in Oakwood Hotel’s swimming pool and continue your exercise routine. The hotel provides signature pool towels as well. we manage to checked in here for premiere 1 bedroom for 1 night.Just for short trip.We using trip.com to get the best price and discounted price.Better than other apps.Im very grateful because we were allowed to early checked in at 2.15pm.Unless we must to wait until 3pm.the car parking was near the lobby and it can use directly to our room.Not to change another lift to go to your room. when we enter the room, its amazing.cleanliness was 10/10, spacios room 10/10, bedroom 10/10, toilet 10/10,airconditional 10/10.Then we go to swimming pool.Wow.The biggest pool is 1.5meters deep and the small one was 0.6metres..very exciting experience.

This time in Kuala Lumpur, I stayed at the Oakwood Hotel and Apartments again, having previously stayed in Tokyo, Sanya, and Guangzhou. The basic room types of serviced apartments are usually larger than those of regular hotels, making them more comfortable to live in. Especially for those who like City Walk, there's no need for as many public areas as a hotel; exploring the city's streets and alleys is where the fun lies, and it's enough to have a good sleep when you return 'home'. Staying in a serviced apartment, the biggest advantage is that you can cook, which is especially suitable for families. But I'm traveling alone, and it's a bit of a hassle to buy groceries and cook just for one. So I still choose to eat out. In Shanghai, I'm very fond of the Puli Long Bar, and there's a branch in Kuala Lumpur, so I happily drank at Seven Bar for three days straight. The Italian islands in the south in summer are enchanting, so the signature Italian cocktail Negroni is a must-try. The snacks here are also good, I recommend the garlic olive oil prawns, satay skewers, and mushroom tempura.

The hotel is splendid, and we enjoyed the professional hospitality of the staff, especially the front desk team. The rooms are big and modern. All facilities in the room were spectacular, mainly the water pressure, bathtub, two TVs and beautiful king-size bed. The inclusive breakfast was sufficient, and the range of food was perfect, especially with fresh coffee beans. The pool is clean, and the depth is up to 1.5m with a jacuzzi on the side. I am very impressed with all the staff in the hotel. There is a Kenny hills baker opposite the hotel that serves good food and lovely confectionery. Here is a throwback to my wonderful stay at @oakwoodkualalumpur, in their 1 Bedroom Premier. ✌️ The room comes with a living room, fully equipped kitchen and a separate bedroom. The bathroom comes with a bathtub. It is is spacious and modern in design. There are 2 TVs and a comfy king-size bed. The breakfast was also amazing too. The swimming pool is clean, and the depth is up to 1.5m with a jacuzzi on the side. I had a really great experience staying in the hotel, the hotel was clean and with a wooden floor design making it feel like home. Staff service was great, very quick check in process. The room was quite big and spacious, fully equipped with necessary amenities. The bathroom was very big as well. they even have a lot of channels on their TV. Cleanliness has always been our first priority whenever we book for hotels, we will specifically look for comments and reviews by guests on cleanliness topics. For any others who would like to book for Oakwood Hotel, rest assured that its cleanliness is tip-top. Some special highlights, the hotel is at a walking distance to the food merchant at the pavilion embassy, where you can buy premium graded high quality groceries and fresh meals over its food court. Nevertheless, the hotel surroundings also has a lot of restaurants and cafes for dining. Ambiance - 4/5 Highlights - We specially woke up at 730am to have a look at the scenery outside the hotel, in November we will be able to see sunrise across the mountain in sight. It was magnificent. Had a nice staycation in downtown KL chilling with my partner in our usual spot again. Great strategic location plus really bang for the buck value for the space you’re getting. (Even better if its off peak seasons, and for what you’re getting, why even bother with airbnbs tbh). Really recommend for any out of state travellers wanting to get a v good deal with accommodation during your stay in KL. Here again as usual after so long. Never dissapoint us but the room that we selected was not available. Sad to know that Reshma is no longer here. Nevertheless, the ambience is a must explore.

Really a great stay at this hotel, the room was big and comfortable.One Bedroom Apartment is so suitable for us. Separate living room and bedroom. Two air- conditions and cooling enough. A small kitchen with fork and spoon, rice cooker, toaster, plates,glasses, mini fridge (inside cabinet) and filtered water. Very clean and new furniture. Bed & pillows are comfy as ever.
