[Shanxi Yongle Palace Beijing Tour] When the gods in the murals are resurrected in light and shadow!
🖼️Highlights of the exhibition
▫️ "Gods of War" super long screen
💫The eight main gods of the "Zhao Yuan Tu" in Yongle Palace and 286 immortal gods "came to life" from the wall. Their sleeves whipped up strong winds in the huge projection, and a slight lift of their fingertips shook off a handful of stars, dragging people into the vast universe of Taoism and nature with an overwhelming attitude. 💫
▫️「Liuli Chiwen」Visual Critical Hit
🐉When the soul had not yet been pulled out of the vortex of the mural, the glazed main ridge of the Sanqing Hall of Yongle Palace had already pressed down like a blue dragon across the sky. The 17-meter-long spine is flowing with the faint glow of peacock blue glaze, the 3.06-meter-high chiwen is looking up to the sky, and the dragon's mouth is open as if to swallow up all the worldly fireworks. They were once the guardian beasts on the roof of the Yongle Palace. They have been exposed to wind and rain for seven hundred years, but the glaze color has become more magnificent over the years. 🐉
▫️ "First-class cultural relics" details critical
The "Shanxi Yongle Palace Cultural Relics and Digital Art Exhibition - Observing the Wonderful and Entering the Truth" is on display at the National Museum of Classical Chinese Literature from now until August 31. The white marble seated statue of Lu Dongbin has flowing clothes and smiling eyes, as if he is preaching a Dharma talk while holding a flower; the stone coffin of Song Defang, the Taoist master of Piyun, is on public display for the first time, with embossed cloud patterns and the eight trigrams on the coffin lid, hinting at the Quanzhen Sect's "dual cultivation of nature and life." The "Emperor's Imperial Edict for Universal Salvation" from the Yuan Dynasty in the display cabinet contains a document from the Yuan court ordering the Quanzhen Sect to recruit disciples, which confirms the close relationship between the Yuan Dynasty royal family and Taoism. 𓆸꙳⋆𓂃𓈒𓏸
🌟At the corner of the eaves of the Yongle Palace building, a peacock blue glazed horn god sits with his eyes wide open, and the mottled ice cracks on the glaze reflect seven hundred years of wind and rain. In the wood carvings on the archway wall of the Chunyang Hall, a descending dragon and an ascending dragon appear in pairs. This composition of ascending and descending is in line with the Taoist philosophy of "yin and yang coexisting". The most touching thing is the "reunion" of the two volumes of scriptures - the "Tai Shang Dong Xuan Ling Bao Wuliang Du Ren Shang Pin Miao Jing" found in the Yongle Palace Chiwen and the "Tai Qing Feng Lu Jing" treasured by the National Library are placed in the same cabinet. On the yellowed pages, cinnabar annotations and gold-mud small characters are communicating with each other across the air. 🌟

💌At the end of the exhibition is a free stamping table, with dozens of seals such as Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea, Huagai Fuyin, Feiyan Fanyu, etc. Lightly pressing the red seal, the majesty of the "Jade Emperor" and the splendor of the "Peacock Blue Glaze" are transferred onto the paper, as if sealing a wisp of the spirit of the Yongle Palace into a portable souvenir. 💌
🏵Looking back when leaving the exhibition hall, the last stroke of the painter's outline of the belt seven hundred years ago and the eyes of the gods reproduced by technology seven hundred years later, at this moment, interweave into the annual rings of civilization. Perhaps the true meaning of "observing the wonder and entering the truth" is to allow the soul of ancient art to continue to exist amid the amazement and gaze of contemporary people. 🏵
