[2025 Kuala Lumpur Attraction] Travel Guide for National Monument (Updated Apr)

#malaysia Since both me and my husband on leave during Malaysia Day's 16th Sept 2023, both of us take a chance to pay a visit to our National Monument or also known as Taman Tugu Negara. However, too bad it was close for construction. Many people like us came to pay a visit to this historical place on this special day but a bit disappointed because we couldn't go near to the world's tallest bronze freestanding sculpture grouping. For those who don't know, the Tugu Negara is a national monument that commemorates those who died in Malaysia's struggle for freedom, principally against the Japanese occupation during World War II and the Malayan Emergency, which lasted from 1948 until 1960. Hope the construction will be done soon so that we can visit it again.

The National Monument is located in Taman Tugu. As you slowly approach the National Monument, you can feel its majesty and solemnity. The ASEAN Sculpture Garden is a amazing beautiful garden in kuala Lumpur.It is a landscape garden full of sculptures in wood,marble,iron and bamboo.The garden is great for a relaxing walk and enjoying the beautiful landscape garden with plenty of benches.Their is a restaurant at the parking area with clean bathrooms and free wifi hotspot. Next to this beautiful garden is the National Monument with amazing view of the city with flat grounds for picnic. Plenty of trees for shade and this space also have seats with canopies incase of rain.It is a small but #awesome garden where you these can relax and enjoy the view.

If you have chance to visit Botanic Garden of Kuala Lumpur you might also pay a visit to the Nasional Monument of Malaysia which is 14 mins walk from Botanic Garden of Kuala Lumpur. The entry is free of charge but I would suggest to visit it in the morning or late evening as the square is extremely hot during afternoon.
