A must-see for transiting at Narita Airport! Explore the surrounding ancient temples✨
My dears, don’t just wait around when you’re in transit at Tokyo Narita Airport! There are many great places to visit around the airport.
📍Xinsheng Temple
This thousand-year-old temple, which was founded in 940 AD, is full of charm. Although most of the temples have been renovated, the three-story pagoda built in 1712 is a national heritage site of Japan and it will amaze you at first sight! It takes about 2-3 hours to tour the entire temple in detail, allowing you to immerse yourself in the tranquility and solemnity of the ancient temple.
🏮Sando Shopping Street
After visiting Shinshoji Temple, you can walk to the sando shopping street outside the temple. This place has an ancient style and is full of Japanese style. There are many small shops along the street, where you can find many special small items. Especially don’t miss Narita’s famous eel rice! Many restaurants kill and grill the fish freshly, and the freshness is visible to the naked eye. I missed it last time because I was in a hurry to catch the plane, and I still feel regretful 😭
🌳Naritayama Park
Just outside the temple, the area is very large. Walking through the area, you will see green trees and the air is exceptionally fresh. Different seasons have different beautiful scenery, with cherry blossoms in full bloom in spring and fiery red leaves in autumn.
