Avoid the crowds and travel alone in Fukuoka | 5 days and 4 nights solo travel guide to Fukuoka, Kyushu
#福冈之旅 This time I traveled alone to Fukuoka, Kyushu for 5 days and 4 nights. I avoided the crowds and deeply felt the beauty of Fukuoka city and its surroundings. Now I will share my itinerary with you~
1. Songfeng Garden
This is a Japanese garden located in the city. You can see it by passing through a mansion. In autumn, this place will be dyed red by maple leaves. It is really comfortable to sit in the teahouse, sipping tea and admiring the maple leaves. The quaint buildings are matched with gorgeous maple leaves, and every shot is a blockbuster.
2. Nanzoin Temple
It takes half an hour to get there by JR from the city. There is one of the largest reclining bronze Buddha statues in the world. Unfortunately, it was under repair when I went there. It is said that it will take three years to repair. However, in addition to the reclining Buddha, the mountains, forests, waterfalls and torii along the way are also worth seeing. You can complete the entire journey in half a day. The journey is quiet and peaceful, which can greatly relax your mind.
3. Ohori Park & Fukuoka Museum of Art
The ecological environment of Ohori Park is super good. I saw many elderly people feeding carp and turtles by the lake, which was full of the atmosphere of life. The Fukuoka Art Museum is right next to the park, and the cafe in the museum faces the lake, with a beautiful view. When I went there, it happened to be the last day of the KEITH HARING exhibition. The museum was so quiet that I didn't dare to take a deep breath. It formed a strong contrast with the "noisy" street popular graffiti, which was very interesting🤣

Hotel recommendations
• Hotels near Hakata Station: convenient transportation, food and shopping nearby, such as JR Kyushu Hotel, which has comfortable rooms and good service.
• Hotels in Tenjin area: The commercial area is prosperous, with many department stores and restaurants. Hotels like Mitsui Garden Hotel have a good location and high cost performance.
My dears, if you also want to travel alone in Fukuoka to avoid the crowds, I hope my guide can help you~
