They were very helpful when we asked about train directions. There were also many halal food stores, even along the streets. Every place we visited was lively, and there were many types of cafe in Seoul especially in Seongsu. The hostel we booked in Dongdaemun was near the train station and a CU mart, which made it easier for us to visit nearby attractions. We used T-Money throughout the trip. We spent RM350 per person for accommodation, RM90 for transportation, RM850 for the return flight, RM35 for travel insurance, RM800 in cash, and RM35 for the K-ETA. The total was around RM2,510. The places we visited in Seoul included Iteawon, Seoul Central Mosque, Myeongdong Street, Dongdaemun Design Plaza, Gyeongbokgung Palace, Bukchon Hanok Village, Namsan Tower, Suwon, Seongsu, Nami Island, Namdaemun Market, and Hongdae. The restaurants we visited for lunch and dinner included Eid Restaurant in Itaewon, Busan Jib in Myeongdong, Iftar Restaurant near Gyeongbokgung Palace , Mari Meokja in Myeongdong, Asia Family Restaurant in Nami, Nusantaraku and Indonesian restaurant in Hongdae. A special moment from this trip was meeting my Korean friend, Jang. I’m glad he still remembered me. On the last day before we flew, we met for dinner, and he kindly drove us to the airport at 1:30 AM for our 6:30 AM flight. Thanks, Jang!🫰🏻🥰

My fav place to see late cherry blossom bloom in South Korea will definitely be in Nami Island. The size of the park is not too big but spending just 1 or 2 hour here is not enough. My suggestion is to download the island map in your phone and rent a bike to explore the map. Cherry blossom bloom in late April here in cherry blossom lane and the view are so breathtaking. I’ve been in Seoul for 5 years but went to Nami island only 3 times. It’s the best in fall and spring so I had to go before it got too cold. But I recommend going in November and catching the leaves changing color. 🍁 I also love escaping the city and touch grass every now and then so camping was such a great time. Nami Island is well known as a filming location of Winter Sonata, a popular drama series in early 2000's. You'll see how big impact of this drama series to tourism. Located in Namsan-myeon, Chuncheon. There are two option to get to the island. First one is by taking ferry boat, second one is dedicated to those who seeking for more adrenaline rush, by zip wire. Since it's such a mainstream destination, you can find it easy to get there. There are shuttle bus from Seoul and train as well. Entrance fee is KRW 13,000. I highly recommend you to come in Autumn or Winter as it gets prettier when the leaf started turn to yellow in Autumn or glowing white of snow in winter. No need to worry about the public facility. There's so many restaurant on the island or nearby, and they also provide a mosque for Muslim guest. I've been there in January, when the lake become an ice skate rink. Nami Island - the perfect getaway from the bustling city. It is about an hours’ drive from Seoul, followed by a short 5-10mins ferry ride to reach this dreamy destination. I visited at the very start of spring which meant that most of the greenery and blooms are still waking up from their winter slumber but the breathtaking views were still no less than amazing. I would say that each season boosts their own style of beautiful. On top of the scenery, this is a popular filming spot for several k-dramas, with “Winter Sonata” being at the top of the list. A late birthday trip to South Korea. I chose a snowy day to go at Nami Island to enjoy the snow and so we can get picture perfect scenery. Nami was so beautiful covered with snow. If you are feeling brave, you can also pay a little bit extra to take the zipline to Nami Island. There will be a basket under you for you to place your belongings. No loose items but you can strap on your own camera. There is this pathway at Nami Island with tall trees lining up on both sides of the pathway. South Korea is always a dream by most people especially those who love Kdramas, Kpop and the like. Number one on our list is Nami Island where most kdramas are shoot. I was really in awe when I was there and was so emotional realizing that finally, we were able to step foot on what we can only see online and TV before. Visiting Nami Island during autumn hits differently. This island is famous because of k-drama. I booked a one day tour departing & coming back to Seoul. In the harbor’s parking area, you can grab the very famous Chicken Fried Stir (닭갈비 Dak-galbi). There are many restaurant selling the same menu. We took a boat from Chuncheon to Nami Island, around 10-20 minutes ride. Inside Nami Island, there’re ATM, money changer, convenience store, cafe, restaurant, snack bars, children park, library, parks, ponds, bike rental. When I came there in mid of November, some yellow tree leaves were fallen down and some areas still had the yellow tree leaves. I recommend you to come in early November for a full yellow scenery.
