Korean street food 🥘
#eatlikealocal
My trip to Seoul was unforgettable, especially when it came to Korean street food! Wandering through Myeongdong, the lively night market scene was a dream for food lovers. From crispy hotteok (sweet pancakes) to spicy tteokbokki (rice cakes), the variety of flavors is insane! Each dish costs anywhere from ₩1,000 to ₩5,000 (about $1-$4), making it affordable to try a little bit of everything.
One of my favorites was the odeng (fish cake skewers) served with hot broth—perfect for a chilly evening. And the Korean fried chicken? Unreal! Sweet, spicy, and crispy, it’s nothing like what you get back home. After feasting, I took a walk to Namsan Tower, just a short trip away, to enjoy the night views of Seoul. Eating my way through the street stalls was honestly one of the best parts of my trip to Korea! 🍜🍢🌶️

South Korea Travel Guide: Have a blast in South Korea even if you don't speak Korean!
The holidays are just around the corner. If you're planning your first trip abroad, South Korea is a great choice! Even if you don't speak Korean, don't worry. This guide is your savior, ensuring you have a blast in South Korea!
I. Travel Preparation
1. Passport and visa: Check if your passport has expired. If not, apply for a South Korean visa.
2. Flights and hotels: Book your flights and hotels in advance, otherwise you might end up sleeping on the streets! Be careful when choosing flights and accommodation, don't get overwhelmed by the options!
3. Maps and navigation: In Seoul, Baidu Maps and Apple Maps are both reliable. They're like your personal tour guide, taking you wherever you want to go. But don't rely too much on maps, otherwise you might end up in a dead end!
II. Recommended Attractions
1. Seoul: Myeongdong, Dongdaemun, Namsan Tower... These are all popular attractions in Seoul. Fashion and traditional culture are perfectly integrated here, allowing you to have a blast!
2. Jeju Island: Wow, the natural scenery of Jeju Island is simply stunning. Hallasan, Seongsan Ilchulbong... The beauty is intoxicating, it's like walking into a painting!
3. Busan: Haeundae, Gwangalli Beach... These coastal attractions are simply a paradise for vacations. Sun, beach, waves, wow, it's refreshing just thinking about it!
III. Food Experience
1. Korean barbecue: Wow, the sizzling barbecue is simply delicious. One bite and you'll be over the moon!
2. Bibimbap: The colorful ingredients mixed together are very appetizing. One bite and you'll feel satisfied!
3. Kimchi: Traditional Korean food, sour and spicy, it's like a stimulating party for your taste buds!
4. Seafood cuisine: Korean seafood is very fresh. Various seafood dishes will keep you eating, be careful not to swallow your tongue!
IV. Shopping Recommendations
1. Myeongdong: This is simply a shopping paradise. Various fashion brands and beauty shops will make your legs soft and your wallet thin!
2. Dongdaemun: A gathering place for fashion trends. Various trendy clothes will make you a fashionista in seconds. But remember to bargain, otherwise you'll lose a lot!
3. Duty-free shops: Here you can buy various international brand products at relatively favorable prices. But don't buy too much, otherwise it will be troublesome if your luggage is overweight!
V. Precautions
1. Language issues: Although you can have fun without speaking Korean, it is still necessary to learn a few simple daily expressions, such as "Annyeonghaseyo" (Hello) and "Gamsahamnida" (Thank you). You might even make Korean friends! If it doesn't work, use translation software, but don't expect it to be completely accurate. Sometimes it will give you some funny translations, which will make you laugh and cry!
2. Cultural etiquette: It is important to understand Korean cultural etiquette, otherwise you may make a joke inadvertently. For example, in South Korea, don't make a loud noise while eating, otherwise it will be considered very impolite!
3. Safety awareness: Safety first when you go out. Always pay attention to personal and property safety, especially in crowded places. Take care of your bag and don't give thieves a chance!
In short, South Korea is a charming country. Even if you don't speak Korean, you can spend an unforgettable May Day holiday in South Korea on your first trip abroad. I hope this guide can help you. I wish you a pleasant journey and have fun! Remember to take more beautiful photos and share them with everyone when you come back!

Namsan Forest during autumn season 🍁

#100waysoftravel
It has been 3years since our last visit to Korea, I still cannot get over with the beauty it has to offer! We came by this Namsan Tower area and was not expecting anything more than a tower, we went through the long and difficult way to go up to the observatory desk up the hill.
We pass by this lovey Namsan forest along the way, notice there are also some people are jogging and running their way up. We enjoyed the autumn beauty of Korea and it will be always in our memory!

Seoul Stunning Namsan Tower 🌸
#cherryblossom2024
The Seoul Tower in Nanshan is a very old tourist attraction and also southern mountains in autumn are really beautiful! On both sides of the road are light pink cherry blossom 🌸 trees, which can exercise your body and enjoy your eyes, especially the combination of South Mountain Pagoda and cherry blossoms. The photos are amazing
The best viewing time for cherry blossoms is limited, usually only about a week. Everyone should seize the time to see the romantic cherry blossom
You can take a cable car or a bus 🚌 to Seoul Tower in Nanshan, but it is still recommended to walk up the mountain! During this season, there are beautiful scenery along the way from mountain to road, and any place is easy to take photos 📸
📍From Exit 3 of Mingdong Subway Station, there is Manga Street, with cute manga characters and graffiti along the way. Follow up to Nanshan, where there are many hiking trails for climbing

I fell in love and it’s forever! Find your soul in Seoul!
Seoul is a stunning city. Every moment you spend there is a moment of beauty and joy. Sightseeing is always great, but even just walking along the streets is fun and pleasure. Even though you have to be fit to walk up and down the hills 😆. The streets of Seoul are narrow and cosy and there is always something interesting to see or to do.
I would totally recommend visiting N Seoul Tower to look how big and beautiful Seoul is. And this place seems to be very romantic, there are many activities couples could do together to celebrate their ❤️ love.
One more thing to enjoy in Korea is food🍲. During the week my friend and I have spent there we didn’t get any food we wouldn’t like.
Seoul has never been in my bucket list, but from now, it’s a place where I would like to go again and again.#Seoul #southkorea ##friendstrip #findyoursoulinseoul

Viewing the night scene in Seoul, there are only 0 times and countless times
Several years ago, when I first came to Korea, I went to the Seoul Tower to see the night view. This time, I wanted to see the night view again, and after much thought, there was no better place than the N Seoul Tower.
🔺Route: Coming out of the Myeongdong subway station, follow the mural street uphill. After passing the Namsan pork cutlet street, you will see the Namsan Tower cable car station. Here, you can buy a round-trip ticket and then wait to board. The cable car can take you directly to a place close to the base of the tower.
⚠️If you simply want to see the night view, then this is enough, and there is no need to buy a ticket to go up the tower, because from here you can see the night view of Myeongdong and many parts of Seoul.
⚠️If it is your first time in Korea and you want to go up the tower, you can directly buy a ticket at the window under the Seoul Tower. Then, you will be given a number with many digits, which is the interval for your queue to go up the tower. The entrance will call out numbers.
The area on top of the Seoul Tower is not very large, and it also takes some time to queue up and down the stairs, so if you just want to see the night view, you actually don't need to buy a ticket; you can just watch from below.

Namsan Seoul Tower 🫶🏻
Have you really been to Korea without visiting Namsan Seoul Tower?
The panoramic view of Seoul is simple breathtaking. There were cool exhibitions before getting on the elevator! Me and my friend opted for a scenic hike and it was a good decision as we saw a trail of cherry blossom trees. Else, you can also take a cable car up or a bus up! Go at sunset timing to enjoy both sunset and night view.
The love locks are outside and if you are going with your partner, be sure to put one too 💖
Tip: Buy your observatory tickets online to save $$

Magnificent Night View of Seoul
My second time here at N Seoul Tower but this time round with my love one. I fell in love even more with this magnificent night view of Seoul taken from the observatory of N Seoul Tower.
Tips: If u have booked the tickets online, please redeem it from the kiosk once you reach Namsan Tower after taking the cable car. Usually it will take minimum 1 hour (peak hour during evening) to be your turn to take the elevator up to the observatory. U may then spend that one hour to explore the Namsan Park.

Day 1: Hanoi - Seoul - N tower. In the afternoon and evening I visited N tower. I went up the tower by cable car, but when I got down I had a pleasant walking experience.
Day 2: Gyeongbokgung - hanok village - haneul park
Day 3: Nami island - Coex mall - han river - dongdaemun night market. In the morning, I woke up very early to go to Nami at 8:30 a.m., when there were not many tourists, it would be easy to feel the peaceful nature.

Beautiful Autumn Scenery atop Namsan Tower.
Namsan Tower is located north of the Han River in the city of Seoul. You can reach the peak by cable car, but we opted to get off the subway at Myeongdong and walk uphill from there. Our reason for climbing up to Namsan tower was to put "love locks" on the fence located at the base of the tower.
Being there in autumn, we are obviously in for a treat. The trees at Namsan were at their most vibrant with shades of gold, ochre, vermillion and tangerine. It was such a beautiful sight. It remind us of the beautiful scenery in Nami Island. Do wear comfortable shoes as it can be a long journey up. U can also buy a one way ticket to take the cable car down if you're tired.

🚏 Iconic tower in Seoul 🚏
Last day travelling in Seoul, we decided to go to Namsan Tower as the last stop of our journey!!
Other than taking the cable car or shuttle bus, hiking up to the mountain will be 1 of the best option! It takes around an hour to hike and along the way you’ll be able to enjoy the stunning view in different observation decks (definitely not during summer🥵🥵)
If you have time and enjoy a good walk, then this is great way of experiencing the Tower and the beautiful scenery!

Bird eye view of Seoul at N Seoul Tower.
Make a trip to N Seoul Tower on the last day of our trip. It was prefect to end our trip with the nice view. However lots of shops were closed down when we went to Seoul in May 2023. Quite disappointed as we didn’t get to enjoy good foods, drinks and shopping on the last day of our trip. But luckily the view make up for it. Definitely will go to N Seoul Tower again when more shops have opened. #seoul #nseoultower

The N tower has been built on the top of Nanshan mountain, which gives panaramic views of the city.
To get to the tower you can either take the cable car for around $20 return trip, or you can hike through the trail.
We opted to cable car up and walk down. but... I'd highly recommend walking both as the walk is around 20/30 minutes and the scenery and city views are fantastic. also the cablecar wait time was around an hour.
Once you get to the top the tower is lit up brightly and there are a number of observation decks so you can see out to the city.
There is a plaza with convenience stores too, so you can grab a water, snack or even diner when you get to the top.
I'd highly recommend heading up to the N Seoul Tower at night

N Seoul Tower
#seoul
N Seoul Tower, also known as Namsan Tower before the name change, is a prominent attraction in Seoul. Situated at the top of Namsan Peak that provides a panoramicc view of Seoul and its sights. The tower stands at 237 meters tall. However when we were there, they were doing maintenance to the lift, we resulted in additional queue and wait time to head up. As a result when we were there we missed the opportunity to catch the sunset. The observation deck allows you to view Seoul in a 360 direction and there are also gift shops are there. It was also included in the Discovery Seoul Pass. Just remember head there earlier.

hi Seoul, I'm up here!

The visit at the seoul tower is an unforgettable experience , well the are in that place, made me remember the scenes of my dramas and the think that my favorite artists were recording in the place i am filled emotion. We had absolutely stunning views all the way round, especially over far into the mountains to the north. The right spot to observe magnificient Seoul from above. We went there during peak time of Korean spring which so miraculous, feel the air and feel the view.
The coffee shop at the top had amazing desserts, there were stools/tables to snack at, the 360 degree view was amazing. At the base of the tower, there is a wooden boardwalk where it's possible to take in the already excellent views. It's possible to buy locks from a nearby convenience store on site, personalize it with artwork, and place it on the fence. We took a train and then a bus to get here. Once you hop off the bus there is still a failry decent uphill walk involved. Lots of greenery and the view was worth it. If you choose to hike it you can; however, you can also access it via a cable car. The cable car takes you to the base of the tower where you then purchase an additional ticket for the elevator for the tower. There can be a wait for the elevator but there are a few small shops and a café while you wait. Even the views from the base of the tower are impressive. I had a great time at this place. It was worth it. Great views of Seoul. I especially enjoyed those locks of different colors. Koreans are hopeless romantics which is endearing.

Surround yourself with love 💕
Seoul tower makes you feel the love of so many people around the world. It also gives you such a beautiful view of Seoul from Namsan mountain! You can take a cable car up to the top and down round trip for 14,000 or one way for 11,000. If you don’t want to spend money be sporty and hike the mountain up! At the top of the mountain treat yourself to some amazing cherry blossom 🌸 ice cream! You won’t regret it! #seoul #seoulfun #seoultower

A glimpse of Namsan Tower 🇰🇷🇰🇷
Surrounded by beautiful scenery, Namsan Tower is a must visit tourist spot in Korea. The best way to get there is by taking Namsan cable car but at that time i choose to take the bus and climb all the way up to the base of Namsan Tower. It was a little bit tired because the trail lasts about 40 minutes🥹But i’m also really satrisfied with the view, so beautiful! ❤️

How to get there 🚎 🚎
Take Namsan Sunhwan Shuttle Bus No. 01.
Closest subway station is Chungmuro Station (Line 3,4), Dongguk Univ. Station (Line 3). It costs approx. 1.100 won.👌👌
Tips⚡️⚡️
I would recommend you to stay at Dears Myeongdong Hotel. Because it’s located near Chungmoro Station so there is a bus station outside the hotel that can take you to Namsan Tower. Hotel is very clean, not too expensive, staff are very helpful and located near Myeongdong area also, nice stay!
