A one-way bus/subway ticket costs 1.8€.
If you only visit for one day, you can buy a one-day ticket for 6.6€, which allows unlimited rides on buses and subways. But since the city is not big, most attractions can be reached on foot. Moreover, the bus frequency is long, which is not very convenient. There are currently only two subway lines, so if you can walk, you don’t need to buy a one-day ticket. The 10-trip ticket is suitable for tourists who stay longer.
【Attractions】
·Le Capitole
This is the municipal administration center of Toulouse, France. It is said that the town hall is located at the place where Saint Saturninus was martyred.
This is already the city center, and there are many commercial alleys around it where you can buy a lot of food and clothes. The hotels are also very convenient, and the most important thing is that it is very photogenic!
·Muséum de Toulouse
A must-visit natural history museum! It is very interesting, from geography to animal and plant specimens, to the history of some primitive tribes, it can be described as wonderful, and there is also an outdoor botanical garden. Full price ticket 7€ / student discount ticket 5€.
·Couvent des Jacobins
This is a church with a beautiful interior roof design, which is printed on the 0€ banknote, and a small garden inside.
There are many churches around the city center, another famous one is Basilique Saint-Sernin, both are very beautiful.
·Jardin Pierre Goudouli
If you are tired, you can sit here. There is a small fountain, shade and benches. Compared with the park in the Capitole, there are fewer strange people here and it feels safer.
Food
·L'Entrecôte
A popular restaurant that specializes in steak and fries. It opens at 12 noon, so be sure to go early! I arrived at exactly 12 o'clock and sat down directly. When I came out after eating, there was already a long line at the door.
[No need to order] The waiter will ask you how you want your steak done and what drink you want, and that's it. The portion is quite big, there is plenty of fries, and after the meal he will ask if you want coffee or dessert.
Opening hours: 12:00-14:00, 19:00-22:30, 21€ per portion.
Since I only stayed for half a day, I just took a quick look around the city center and some museums. There are still a lot of fun and delicious things in the city center, and many bookstores also sell postcards, with prices ranging from 1.5€ to 2€.
Friends who need to buy stamps can go to La Poste in the capitole (address: 9 Rue Lafayette, 31000 Toulouse, France). There are quite a lot of stamps to choose from, including some new ones issued this year.
