Muir Woods Monument

Trip to Muir Woods
We took a Uber to the Muir woods from downtown San Francisco after seeing pictures online. The Forrest was incredibly beautiful and seemed to go on forever with many different trails to go on. It’s $15 dollars to enter which it’s a really good price. The only problem we had was getting a Uber back to the city due to connection to 3G, so recommend booking a tour or a taxi that will pick you up at a certain time #san fransico #muir forrest #awesomepic #forrest

Muir Woods Adventure
Getting There - We were located in downtown San Francisco near Union Square and used Uber to get to Muir Woods. It cost $38 USD one way. The drive is beautiful and you get to go across the iconic Golden Gate Bridge which was spectacular in itself. Please note that once entering the hills you will loose signal so have transport for the way back arranged prior.
Attractions - Entrance fee was $15 USD per person and to go the entire loop around took just under 1 hour. The woods itself is beautiful and very well kept. If you are wanting a cheaper and easier alternative the the redwood forest this is it. They have the iconic redwood trees with facts along the way around.
Hotels - Stay in San Francisco Bay and commute into the woods as there is nothing else around the Muir area. The drive from our best western hotel was around 35 minutes one way.
Food & Restaurants - Bring food and drink as the on-site cafe is closed for renovations and I am unsure when it’s likely to re open.
Shopping - Small gift shop location at the entrance of the woods selling great gifts from both the woods and San Francisco. They are all reasonably priced which is great. #sanfranisco #Muirwoods #california #nationalpark
