A mountain where you can enjoy the waterfalls and the natural beauty of the mountains.
📍Mt. Akaboshi
Located in Shikokuchuo City, this mountain has an elevation of 1,017m.
It belongs to the Houou Mountains, a branch of the Ishizuchi Mountains in the northeast.
It takes about 40 minutes to reach the summit from the nearest trailhead, so it's a great place to visit!
The Median Tectonic Line runs east-west along the northern foot of the mountain, and the end of the ridge cut by the fault, the so-called triangular end face, is beautifully formed.
The Oji River, which flows north along the fault cliff, is called the Ouji Valley or Akaboshi Line, and many large and small waterfalls can be seen.
On the south side, the Dozan River flows east parallel to the mountain range, and the beauty of the valley with its strangely shaped rocks is one of the best in the prefecture.
The nearby riverbed is crowded with campers during the season.

Worth a look!
📍 Gyokuren Falls
Gyokuren Falls is located at the foot of Mt. Akaboshi.
The hiking trail from the trailhead to Gyokuren Falls is also full of wonderful natural spots.
The view that awaits is a spectacular power spot.
The mountain water flows beautifully down the moss-covered rocks.
It never dries up, and it's like sweet dew.
If you get close and take a photo, you might be able to take a beautiful picture of the water flowing down the moss rocks like a ball.

Shingu Hydrangea Village
📍Shingu Hydrangea Village
This is a famous flower spot where 20,000 hydrangeas bloom on the slopes of a mountain of about 4 hectares. Every year, the "Shingu Hydrangea Festival" is held from mid- to late June.
The grounds are very large, and there is a gentle uphill slope to the observation deck.
The promenade is made of concrete and is easy to walk on, but be careful as it can be slippery after rain.
There are also spots here and there where hydrangeas are blooming in abundance. The colorful flowers bloom like a wall, and it's sure to be a photogenic spot. Try to find them while you're walking.

🇯🇵 [Ehime] Ear ailments will come true!? Kiriyama (Living Tree Jizo)
An incarnation of Kobo Daishi that stands out in the deep mountains
A Jizo statue carved into a living basket tree in the mountains of the Kiriyama district, where the legend of the Heike clan remains. Carved in the mid-Edo period, it attracted the faith of many people who believed that if they prayed to it, their ear ailments would be cured and their wishes would come true. It had been prayed to for a long time, but the parent tree withered and the current statue took its place. According to legend, it is said to be an incarnation of Kobo Daishi, and is attracting attention as a rare Buddhist statue in the country (^^)!

[A rare and exquisite sweet] Kiri no Mori Daifuku
Shikokuchuo City, Ehime Prefecture. Kiri no Mori Roadside Station is located along the national highway. Here you can find a mystical and exquisite sweet. It is a mystical daifuku that is extremely difficult to obtain even by mail order. This time, I ate it at Kiri no Mori Tea House, a wonderful place with a hearth inside the roadside station. This time, I had the recommended set. Kiri no Mori Daifuku, brown honey kinako dango, roasted green tea jelly, fresh chocolate, and Mori no Mi cookies. Kiri no Mori Daifuku is made from mochi kneaded with fresh cream, smooth bean paste, and matcha, and is topped with matcha at the end, making it a very delicious daifuku that is both flavorful and soft. In addition to daifuku, they also have tea, soft serve ice cream, and other sweets that are specialties of Shingu. I went during the day on a weekday, and it was empty. Please visit at least once. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Roadside Station Kiri no Mori 📍 4491-1 Umatate, Shingu-cho, Shikokuchuo-shi, Ehime Prefecture #besttrip2023 #domestictravel #Ehime #Shikoku #travel #roadsidestation #gourmet #sweets #gourmettrip #daifuku #japan

🍁🏯 Zhongjiangan ~ Zen-style natural Japanese garden, the red leaves are as beautiful as a poem! 🌿🍂🍁
~Enjoy the fusion of Zen and nature accompanied by red leaves! 🧘🍂🌳
The stone paths in the Zhongjiang Temple courtyard are winding and dotted with green leaves, with every blade of grass and tree displaying the beauty of nature. I was immersed in it, feeling the harmonious coexistence of Zen and nature. 🌿🏯🍃
What impressed me most was the beautiful red leaves at Zhongjiangan. When autumn comes, the maple leaves in the courtyard become brilliant and beautiful, like a poetic painting. I strolled in the courtyard, admiring the sight of the falling red leaves and feeling the vitality and changes of nature. Such beautiful scenery is fascinating, as if you are in a fairy tale world. 🍁🌳🍂
I found a pavilion in the courtyard, sat down to drink tea, admired the beautiful scenery of the courtyard, and felt the profound heritage of Japanese culture! 🍵🌼🏯
This place with its Zen-like natural Japanese garden and beautiful red leaves not only made me feel the power and beauty of nature, but also allowed me to reconnect with my inner self. If you’re looking for a sense of Zen and beautiful red leaves, Chujiangan is definitely a place worth visiting! 🌿🍁🏯

Aoshima Cat island (青島) เกาะน้องเหมียว😺
The Island of Cats in Japan🐱
Aoshima Island
or known as Cat Island, oh!
is a small island located in Ehime Prefecture.
It can be said that it is almost deserted.
Because there are less than 20 people living there..
But there are more than 100 cats living there.
It is considered a paradise for cat lovers.
Another place in Japan.
Because there are few people here, the island is quiet.
Most people go there for day trips.
Activities include watching cats, taking pictures of cats, and feeding cats.
The best thing is to get up close and personal with the cats on the island.
The cats will walk around the streets.
Or they will roll around and chill on the sandy beach.
Let me tell you, cat lovers will be so happy. Just playing with them and seeing cats flirting with them, just thinking about it makes me so happy.
There is nothing to offer on the island. There are no hotels, no cars, no bicycles, no restaurants, no convenience stores.
Those who want to travel to this island must be well prepared.
Food, snacks, cat food, drinking water, umbrellas, etc.
Also, you must bring all your trash back to the shore.
Cat lovers who want to visit the little ones on Aoshima Island
Don't forget to help keep it clean and follow the rules.
