Taiwan High Quality Teppanyaki
It was my first time to eat teppanyaki in Taiwan. This time I came to Mosun Teppanyaki Restaurant located in Zhongxiao Dunhua. The restaurant’s decoration was very romantic, with a French feel. The environment and atmosphere were very good, and the waiters were attentive but not too enthusiastic.
There are several types of Mo Shang menus, and the most cost-effective one is the business lunch, which is enough for about TWD1000, after all, the portions are very large. If you want to eat a richer meal, you can choose a seafood and territorial set meal, which costs about TWD1500-2000, depending on your budget.
This time I ordered a surf and turf combo, which started with a bun and soup. The bun was really delicious, with a super soft texture, and went really well with the soup. After that, the chef will start to cook the ingredients, starting with salad, seafood, staple food, and fried rice, all using various showmanship to give the guests a pretty good visual feast.
While eating, the waiters will keep changing drinks for the guests. I remember there were apple cider vinegar and roselle smoothie. The drinks are mainly sour, which not only has a digestive effect but also can clear the taste left over from the previous dish.
During dessert time, guests are invited to move to the living room, choose desserts and food, and then slowly chat with friends. After all, the main course was a bit too much, and I kept eating without having time to chat with friends. In addition, the teppanyaki tables are far apart, so even if I wanted to chat, I was embarrassed to be too loud. I felt that the dessert tasted average, not as attractive as the main course, but I was already quite full by this time, and the dessert did not have much impact, and it ended this round perfectly.
