Uttamanusorn Bridge, or popularly known as the Mon Bridge, is the longest wooden bridge in Thailand, with a length of 445 meters, located in Nong Lu Subdistrict, Sangkhla Buri District, Kanchanaburi Province. The travel time from Trat to Sangkhla Buri District is approximately 10 hours. We traveled by private car. When we arrived at the bridge, we met a little tour guide who told us the history of the bridge. We walked around and took pictures. We gave him a tip. He was cute. We took pictures and walked along the bridge and saw people carrying things on their heads very high. We had to ask to take pictures with him. It was like there was a gravitational pull. 555 There were a lot of tourists. There were a lot of local products for us to buy as souvenirs. There was a lot of food and restaurants to choose from. As for our morning activity, we gave alms in the morning. There were many shops selling alms for monks to choose from. Then the shops gave us local costumes to wear for free. But when you arrive in Sangkhlaburi, the temple that many people must go to and cannot miss is Wat Wang Wiwekharam or as we like to call it, Wat Luang Pho Uttama. Wat Wang Wiwekharam was built by Phra Ratcha Udom Mongkhon (Luang Pho Uttama), a famous Mon monk who gathered Karen, Mon, and Thai people living in Sangkhlaburi District to help build it. Currently, Luang Pho Uttama has passed away (October 18, 2006), but his disciples still keep his remains for people to come and pay homage. A small bookstore located in Sangkhlaburi, not far from the Mon Bridge. The first time we came to Sangkhlaburi, we stayed here. We stayed alone but felt very comfortable. Before this, it used to be a place to stay. It's a pity that it's no longer a place to stay. However, the bookstore, coffee, and delicious desserts made by Tonrak are still sold. There's also delicious coffee made by Mat. Tonrak and Mat both like to read books. More than half of the books are the same, as they told us about. Wat Wang Wiwekharam is an old temple that has been submerged since the construction of the Khao Laem Dam or Vajiralongkorn Dam. Therefore, the temple was moved to a hill instead. Underwater Temple, Sangkhla Buri - Thailand: Located nearby Thai - Myanmar boarder. We have to go there by boat and can walk thete when the temple exposed which will be in summer time only for a few months. Then it will be underwater again.
