It was commissioned by the late Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz, construction began in 1982 and finished on 11 March 1988. It was an interesting & memorable experience to visit this mosque, there is a friendly and knowledgeable mosque's tour guide provided the informative insights and history about the mosque. The architerural of the mosque features a combination of traditional Islamic, West Asian and Malay design elements. Decorative Islamic calligraphy surrounds the edges of the mosque’s blue dome and parts of the walls, while its main prayer hall exhibits Malay architectural features. The interior of the prayer hall is finely designed with four pieces luxurious crystal chandeliers from Turkey, doorways, windows and walls featuring aluminum grilles with intricate geometric arabesque patterns, sunlight filtering through the mosque’s stained glass renders a surreal and elegant ambiance to its interior, creating a sense of peace and serenity.
