All the rides we went on at USJ without buying an Express Pass 1. Mine Cart Madness - waited about 90 minutes. This was the first ride we queued for. It feels like riding a cart on a treasure-hunting adventure. Very fun, we think this is the most fun ride. Definitely don’t miss this one. 2. Mario Kart: Koopa's Challenge - waited 90 minutes. You race inside the Mario game and get to wear a hat like Mario. It’s a CG game and might make you a bit dizzy. 3. Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey - waited 120 minutes. It feels like you’re flying on a broomstick touring the wizarding world with Harry Potter. The CG is very well done, super fun with lights, sound, wind, water, and 4D effects. 4. Jurassic Park - The Ride - waited only 15 minutes. A boat ride to see dinosaurs. You get a little wet at the end, so bring a raincoat just in case. There’s a bit of excitement at the end. 5. Elmo's Go-Go Skateboard - waited 10 minutes. This ride is fun and suitable for those who are scared of intense rides. It spins around and feels like a kids’ Viking ride with cool wind. 6. Moppy's Balloon Trip - waited 10 minutes. It’s like riding a gondola to enjoy the view, perfect for kids and very relaxing. 7. Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem - waited about 60 minutes. A 3D ride where you pretend to be a Minion. 8. Flight of the Hippogriff - waited 90 minutes. We queued twice for this ride and waited a long time. We actually got to ride it in the evening. It’s a roller coaster with views of the castle. The evening view is very beautiful, but if you’re short on time, you can skip this ride because the ride is very short and not worth the long wait. 📍We went to USJ in June, so there was a little rain, and we chose to go on a Thursday. 📍We stayed in the park from 7 AM to 7 PM and managed to ride 8 rides. Very excited that my family of four is going to experience the power of capital! Please remember to arrive early. I thought I had already left early, but I still underestimated the crowd. After waiting in line for security check, I had wasted half an hour, and the money was still spent mercilessly~ The VIP itinerary is great. You can quickly and effectively go through the crowd, directly experience the game, and even have exclusive seats for the performance. You can also take pictures with the characters you want (such as Mario, Minions, Princess Peach and KITTY, etc.) and provide photos. This part is also worth it! They will also tell you where to sense Mario's bracelet to get coins and badges. The eight-hour experience includes lunch and dinner, which is better than nothing. The lunch meal is not worth mentioning, but there is air conditioning, drinks and restaurant seats to rest well. It is priceless! After a short break for dinner, we started the afternoon itinerary. Even greater money power, haha. Anyway, when going to Universal, especially with family, you absolutely must buy the Express pass!!! It’s essential~~~ With great anticipation, we arrived at Universal Studios Japan. We entered the Harry Potter zone almost immediately at the first scheduled time after opening. ● The Wizarding World of Harry Potter It really felt like stepping into the movie! Holding a wand and casting spells~ wearing a cloak~ taking tons of photos~ trying butterbeer... (Honestly, butterbeer is not my taste...) The attraction "Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey," where you defeat Voldemort with Harry Potter, was more thrilling and fun than I expected. ● Super Nintendo World The massive scale visible through the entrance tunnel is truly overwhelming. You can’t take it all in at once. The constant game sound effects made me feel like I was Mario. If you buy and wear a bracelet, you can actually participate in small games. Haha. You have to wait quite a bit to ride the "Bowser’s Challenge" attraction. That’s because entry to "Super Nintendo World" is only allowed for VIP, Express, or at least guaranteed ticket holders, so except for VIPs, everyone competes on equal footing. Haha. Anyway, "Bowser’s Challenge" is a game where you shoot a gun to hit opponents... People with bracelets keep getting bullets replenished, but those without have to wait a bit when they run out of bullets. This place is also a photo paradise!!! Toad (Kinopio) is just too cute. ● Minion Mayhem I was surprised by the unexpectedly long line. But anyway, we zipped right in~ It’s an attraction where you transform into minions and complete missions. The ride itself doesn’t move wildly like a roller coaster, so it’s not scary... but it’s a bit dizzying. Haha. The ride shakes and moves between 3D screens, making it look like you’re really flying, and when you get hit, it feels like a real collision. It’s quite fun. Kids especially seemed to love it. ● Doraemon 4D Art Adventure You enter a theater-like place and sit down. Just sitting in a cool place felt good. Since I don’t understand Japanese, I just guessed what they were saying. Haha. Wearing glasses makes it look like Doraemon is floating above our heads. Wind blows from the seats, and when a character cries in the video... water splashes. Because it’s 4D. We purchased the "Express 4 - 4D & Minion" ticket, so we used the express pass for these four attractions. If you want to experience more attractions, you can wait in line, right? But we spent the day exploring the countless adorable character shops, taking photos everywhere with Instagram-worthy backgrounds, and just enjoying ourselves. Universal report the week after Golden Week 🌏🌈 💰: 9,400 yen (Adult) ⏰: 09:00–19:00 With the Expo starting, is Universal less crowded?! There were rumors, so I actually went to check it out~ 🌏🌈 (Weekday) Arrived before 9:00 🚉 Entered earlier than the official opening time ✨ Right after opening, Nintendo World area was being guided without entry tickets, so I headed there first! At the area entrance, the end of the Donkey Kong attraction line was right there, so I joined the line as it flowed... Moved through the area while waiting in line for about an hour 🚶 Finally reached the entrance of the Donkey Kong attraction, and the wait time showed 220 minutes!!! Having already waited an hour and thinking about waiting another 3 and a half hours, I felt hopeless and gave up 🥶🥶 Left the line and moved to other attractions 😢 I saw many others doing the same 👀 After leaving the line, Yoshi’s attraction had a 40-minute wait! Actually waited about 30 minutes and got on 🥚 Then went straight to the Mario Kart attraction 🏎️ I was able to ride and enjoy it after about an hour 🏎️🪽🐢 I didn’t buy the Mario band, but it makes you want to yell “Yahoo”... 😂❔ lol Wandered around and enjoyed the Nintendo area for a while before heading outside the area 🔭🍄😌✨ Later, checking the app and such, since it was a weekday, it seemed possible to enter with timed tickets without a lottery 💡 The Donkey Kong attraction stopped at least three times while I was watching... #FamilyTravel 🎡 Touring USJ Universal Studio Japan No Express Pass version, focusing on waking up early, walking fast, endurance, and patience 🎢 First, a brief intro: Universal Studio Japan is a theme park suitable for all genders and ages, perfect for those with energy. Universal Studio Japan has many rides, especially the Super Nintendo World zone, which is a new attraction not available in any other country. This means everyone will definitely want to play in this zone, so there are limited rounds and you must book through the App only. Therefore, if you use an Express Pass, you must allocate time to enter the rides in this zone for sure. 🎠 But, but, we are budget travelers (No Express Pass). How do we get in? Let’s follow along. 1️⃣ First, you must wake up early. No matter where you stay, which hotel, arriving at the USJ gate as early as possible is the first choice you must do. It’s recommended to arrive at the gate before 7 AM only!! ❗️Note: Only small bags are allowed inside. If you have large luggage, deposit it in a locker, and no food or snacks are allowed inside. You can only bring one bottle of drinking water per person. 2️⃣ The ticket scanning gate opens before the official opening time, which may vary each day. The day we went was a Thursday in March, it opened around 7:14 AM. After opening and scanning tickets, we walked quickly heading to the Super Nintendo World zone. Don’t worry about getting lost, just follow everyone else because everyone is definitely heading the same way. 3️⃣ Don’t stop to take photos yet; get in line for the rides first. Queuing without a reserved time is the advantage of coming early. We spent no more than half an hour and got to play Mario Kart, which was super fun. 4️⃣ We can stay in this zone all day because there are more rides. Queue for Yoshi and Donkey Kong rides, then come out to take photos later. ❗️Note: Once you leave the Super Nintendo World zone, you cannot re-enter because you need a queue reservation from the App to get back in. So think carefully before leaving this zone. 5️⃣ After finishing here, we can go to other zones to play. But everywhere, every zone has long lines of 1-2 hours, no difference. Please book your entry ticket and express pass in advance. We bought our express pass on the day and it's triple the price 😢 reason to have an express pass is to save ur time from queue for the famous attractions such as Harry Potter and the Nintendo. It's worth it, trust me. Please also manage ur time properly to be able to ride all ur preferable rides. After all, all the money is worth it to spent cs we spent less time for queueing. Time is precious to enjoy in Japan so save ur time.

Mario Kart ~ Bowser's Challenge ~ This is a Mario attraction located in the Super Nintendo World area inside Universal Studios Japan 🍄 You can wear 3D goggles and enjoy the Mario Kart game while riding the ride! It's truly a real Mario Kart experience 🏎️ As shown in the photo, the queue has an incredible amount of exhibits and is very worth seeing...! The game is quite difficult, and it takes time to get used to viewing through the goggles. It was fun to be in USJ to experience the fun down there. We went on 11th April 2024. The weather was a little bit bad (as the whole day is cloudy and dark and was rain at 6pm) but we were still enjoying the theme park.
