Mahua Waterfall
Situated in Kg. Patau, Tambunan District within the Crocker Range National Park, Mahua Waterfall drops about 17 meters (≈6 floors) into a pool roughly 1.2–1.3 m deep
From Kota Kinabalu, it's approximately a 1.5‑hour drive—around 26 km from Tambunan town
A 500-meter paved trail—well-built with benches, huts, boardwalks, and toilets—takes you through a cool, shady secondary forest rich with dipterocarps, fungi, insects, and birdlife like Yellow Wagtails
Fees & Hours
Operates daily from 8 am to 5 pm.

Malaysian (18+): RM3
Malaysian (under 18): RM1 or RM0.50
Non-Malaysian (18+): RM10
Non-Malaysian (under 18): RM6
The trail is a hotspot for nature lovers—with fascinating fungi (some resembling dim sum!), lacewings, and the occasional “smiling rock,” along with birdlife and local insects
Waterfall is very cold and nice. Best things is that it's just a 1 min walk from the carpark. There are proper toilets onsite.
