The most convenient attractions to visit in Luoyang City are Lijing Gate, West Street, and Cross Street, which are actually part of the old town of Luoyang. The hotel I booked was nearby, and I took a stroll past Lijing Gate, discovering that in addition to the magnificent city tower, there are many small streets and alleys to explore at the intersection of West Street, such as Yinglin Street, Wei Street, Jing Alley, and Shuncheng West Street. 📍Detailed address: First, go to the Old Town District of Luoyang City at Xiguan, then walk into Lijing Gate, and head east along West Street. This area is the western part of the old town of Luoyang. You can walk into the small streets and alleys to see the living environment of the locals.
🚗Transportation guide: I drove myself, and parked on the side of the road opposite the Lijing Gate tower. It seems that no one was collecting parking fees. However, parking fees in Luoyang are quite cheap, three yuan for a long time.

Lijing Gate is the core attraction of the old town, rebuilt on the original site in the style of the Jin, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. The old town area next to it, however, has the style of the Republic of China, with distinctive red brick and wood structures, mottled walls, some peeling, but the buildings are nostalgic and inhabited by many locals, full of life. This area also went through the trials of war.
🫱🏽The alleys here are purely residential, without shops, just quiet pedestrians, ancient trees by the road, and people's lives. When it snows, the ground can easily accumulate snow, the roads are narrow and slippery, with just one lane, so most people walk or ride small electric scooters. Walking in the middle of the road, taking pictures from a distance, you can capture photos with a strong sense of story. Or against the backdrop of these old red brick walls, it's easy to capture photos with a nostalgic atmosphere.
📌Little Tips:
Unlike the bustling West Street or Cross Street, there are hardly any tourists here, and even people are rare to see. Some travelers like to quietly observe the local architectural features. These buildings are connected in clusters, completely different from the architecture in the south, and the places without people are particularly suitable for photography.
