The Twin Pagodas, also known as the Twin Pagodas of Luohanyuan, are located in Dinghui Temple Lane, Fenghuang Street. Because of the same architectural form, it is also called "Brother Tower", and Suzhou people also call it "Gusao Tower". In the Tang Dynasty, the Prajna Temple was set up here. In the seventh year of Taiping Xingguo in the Northern Song Dynasty (982), two more brick pagodas were built by the Wang Wenhan brothers, so they were called the Twin Pagoda Temple by the people. It was destroyed in the ten years of Xianfeng in the Qing Dynasty, and only the remains of the twin towers and the main hall remain. The twin towers are two seven-story and octagonal pavilion-style imitation wood-structured brick towers standing side by side from east to west. The form, structure and volume are the same. The overall shape is exquisite and beautiful, and in the past, it was vividly described as two pens straight into the sky. The square room inside the twin towers still follows the old system since the Northern Wei Dynasty, which is a physical example of the evolution of the brick tower plane between the Tang and Song Dynasties.
