[2025 Tonglu Attraction] Travel Guide for Luci Village (Updated Apr)

Come to Tonglu to play~😜 The water in Tonglu is simply stunning, with blue-green colors like a world in a painting! We played in the streams, enjoyed the amusement park, and visited the Daqishan Forest Park, having an incredibly happy three days! 🔹🔹Three-day, two-night itinerary🔹🔹 Day1⃣️ Self-drive from Suzhou to Hangzhou Tonglu ➡️ Lumei Line for water play Day2⃣️ OMG Heartbeat Park Day3⃣️ Daqishan Forest Park ➡️ Return trip 💦Water Play Along the Lumei Line, there are small streams. We mainly chose two spots for water play: 📍 In front of the Yanduo Resort Mountain Lodge, where the water is shallow and perfect for kids. Shishe Village and Lutz Village are also good for water play, but it's a bit sunny; the water play spots here have shade, and there are places to eat nearby. Kids can play in the stream while parents relax under the shade, making it a leisurely experience! 📍 One Tea One Seat, where there are bamboo rafts for playing and great photo opportunities. If you dine there, you can play in the water for free. 🎠OMG Heartbeat Park (Pics 12 - 18) There are many fun activities here, and the walking distance is really short! You can take a boat, ride the sky ladder, or ride the Pegasus to climb the mountain. See Pic 18 for the specific route. Suitable activities for kids include: ✔️ Chuiyun Tongtian River: Take a boat into the underground cave ✔️ Tianlu Flying Car: Super fun to drive, and you can control the speed yourself ✔️ Lingkong Piaoyue: A glass walkway drift in the air, with a gentle slope ✔️ Tianma Xingkong: Ride the carousel up the mountain easily 💰659/two people, free for children under 1.2m Daqishan Forest Park (Pics 6 - 11) Bamboo sea, waterfalls, cliffs, suspension bridges, the scenery is stunning! You can play in the water all along the way. Stay for a night, and when you wake up in the morning and open the window, you'll be greeted by a picturesque landscape. Yan Ziling Fishing Platform is a landmark attraction in Tonglu. Standing high and looking down, the river winds, surrounded by green hills, as if you can feel the transcendence of the ancients. The Yaolin Wonderland is even more breathtaking. The stalactites in the cave are of various shapes, some resembling birds and animals, others like fairies and jade maidens. Under the light, they appear dreamlike. During summer and autumn, the mountainsides transform into picturesque landscapes with red leaves and golden rice paddies. The Maling Ancient Trail offers diverse scenery, including clear streams, ancient villages, unique rock formations, and waterfalls. #discoverchina Although there was a big temperature drop and rain, I was a little hesitant at first, but to my surprise, the beauty of Tonglu in the rain was absolutely stunning. Definitely worth the trip! Transportation There are two high-speed rail stations in Tonglu: Tonglu Station and Tonglu East Station. Tonglu Station is closer to the county and the Maling Ancient Road. Tonglu East Station is closer to Meirong Village. I arrived at Tonglu East Station at 7 PM and planned to take a taxi to Maoping Village. I waited for a long time but couldn’t get a driver. When a platform driver was finally dispatched, they refused to go, saying it was too far (about 30 kilometers) and asked for extra payment. After a while, I managed to catch a ride for 50 yuan. I was lucky, though, so if you’re arriving at night, make sure to have a backup plan or try to book a ride in advance. Gongyu Ancient Road The road connects three ancient villages: Luci Village, Maoping Village, and Shishe Village. The entire route is around 11 km long: Luci Village to Maoping Village: 8 km Maoping Village to Shishe Village: 3 km (this section is the highlight of the route). The route is mostly flat with very little elevation gain. In terms of commercialization: Luci Village > Shishe Village > Maoping Village. I personally liked Maoping Village the most. I stayed there for three nights, and there are buses between the three villages, or you can take a taxi. Fuchun River It turns out the best way to explore Fuchun River is not by boat, but by walking along the Fuchun River Greenway. The river looks muddy up close when on the boat, but from the Greenway, it looks star-green. The experience is especially beautiful on a rainy day—very poetic and dreamy! If you want to take a boat, just navigate to “Jiangnan Longmen Bay.” After my boat ride, I walked from Longmen Bay to Luci Village—all along the Greenway. #thingstodo #travel

Luci Creek, a tributary of the Fuchun River, flows in front of the village. The village, located at the foot of the mountain, is surrounded by mountains and water, bringing with it a sense of tranquility. There are not many tourists in the village. You can hear the crowing of chickens and the barking of dogs, but not the hustle and bustle of the city. It is quiet and relaxing here. Wandering around, the lanterns swaying in the wind, the tiles hidden under the trees, the flowers blooming in the grass and trees, and the water flowing in the stream all make people happy.

We had lunch at a farmhouse restaurant in the village. ——The restaurant we chose has a platform that extends to the river. You can see the river when you look down. The restaurant is surrounded by mountains and rivers. You can hear the sound of the river and feel the breeze while eating. It was a great experience, but the food was a bit bland and average. ——There are many farmhouse restaurants and homestays in Luci Village. It is convenient to get around. There is a small parking lot, and you can also park in front of the homestays and restaurants. 🌲 Maoping Village: Scenery: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Convenience: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Commercialization: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ ——We left for the hotel at 2:30 pm. After checking in, we went to Maoping Village. We stayed at the homestay "Qingning's Home". It takes about 20 minutes to walk there. Our child walked slowly, so we took our time and played along the way. We walked around the village and finished playing around 5 pm. We had dinner at "Cun Tian Li". There were many people there. Maoping Village is not very commercialized. There are many homestays, but we only saw one restaurant, Cun Tian Li. The food was okay, but the dishes were a bit bland. ——There is a small shallow water area in Maoping Village, which is suitable for playing in the water. You can usually drive directly to the trailhead, but there were so many people during the May Day holiday that private cars were not allowed in. There is a shuttle bus to and from the park. It takes about 20 minutes to walk from the road at the foot of the mountain to the trailhead. ——The environment is great, the air is fresh, and there are many trees and bamboo. It is very cool, and there are activities for children. However, there were too many people during the May Day holiday. We had to queue for everything, including ticket checks, climbing the mountain, and using the restroom. We lost interest in playing and left the park after about an hour. ——It is a ten-minute drive from Tonglu Intime City. We had a meal there and went home.

It is the top choice for summer water play in Zhejiang, especially in the Hangzhou area. 1. Shishe Village: The village is built along a stream, like a delicate and artistic Jiangnan lady hidden in the valley. The ancient buildings, book houses, farmhouses, coffee shops, and swimming equipment shops are all available. During the high water period, the stream is clean and bright, very suitable for swimming and water play. You can rent paddle boards, camping equipment, etc., and the summer water play services are very mature. 2. Maoping Village: At the entrance of the village stands a huge thousand-year-old camphor tree, lush and green. The Baibu Street Rain Corridor spans across the Lutz Creek, with clear water under the bridge, making it an excellent place for swimming. The village is not yet developed commercially, so you can leisurely stroll around, look at the ancient buildings, and feel the cultural atmosphere. 3. Luzi Village: Luzi Bay Style Town is the earliest developed summer water play village, a commercialized internet-famous village. Qinglongwu: The mountain road into the village is narrow, making it difficult for two cars to pass. The stream bed is relatively narrow, suitable for water play, catching fish and shrimp, but not recommended for camping and swimming. The most worth checking out is the village's internet-famous "Yanji Capsule Bookstore," where every shot is picturesque. 5. Baiyunyuan Mountain Water House: To see the waterfall, you need to go during the rainy season. Usually, it is suitable for water play, camping, barbecuing, and you can also experience bamboo rafting. The stream water is clear, with some areas having deep pools, so wild swimmers should be careful. 6. Shangdian Village: Xiaoling Reservoir Stream Beach, the stream beach is wide, very suitable for camping, setting up canopies, playing paddle boards, fishing, and swimming. 7. Day 1: Leave work on Friday and depart from Shanghai. Take the high-speed train for an hour and a half to Tonglu Station and choose to stay near the high-speed rail station. 😊 Day 2: Visit Daqi Mountain National Forest Park, which is very close to the high-speed rail station, just a 10-minute taxi ride away, very convenient. Since it is the off-season now, there are few people, and the whole park is particularly tranquil. Upon entering, there is a bamboo forest, and then after passing through the amusement area, the climb begins. Inside the park, there is a colorful pond, known as the 'Little Jiuzhaigou,' and it lives up to its name with blue-green water that is crystal clear. There are also many small suspension bridges, which must be very cool in the summer. The paths for climbing are mostly flat and not difficult at all, except for a steep section when reaching the summit. On the way down, we even saw flying squirrels, 60 yuan per person (actually, you can bargain with the guide, we paid 80 yuan for two people). The whole round trip took us 3 hours, as we walked slowly and kept taking photos.
