If you go in the afternoon you can catch the sunset which is incredible. After dark the views of the city lights are breathtaking. If you go be sure to bring snacks, water and something warm to wear in the evening. You can take a taxi to the hike starting point at Lion Rock Park Community garden at the back of Lok Fu. The hike itself will take around 1.5 hours up and 1.5 hours back down, offering great views along the way. You might even see some Mk keys if you are lucky! I don't know about you but it brings me great exhilaration when I finished my hike and managed to reach the top of the mountain. It's like I can shout "YES I DID IT!" when I am at the top. In Hong Kong, I was able to hike the Lion Rock peak and it is a mountain that is about 495 meters high. The whole entire climb took about 3-4 hours, depending on your speed. On your way up, you can enjoy nature and have a great view of Hong Kong's city scape. The hike is relatively easy but the trail is not entirely paved so be sure to put on proper shoes. This place is popular amongst the people in Hong Kong so it may get crowded. Just a word of caution, there are monkeys there too so do not feed them.
