Let’s Yum cha is the first restaurant after arriving in Hong Kong. I learned about this restaurant from the Hong Kong travel page on Facebook because many people recommended other dim sum restaurants. However, someone recommended this restaurant because it was nearby and Thai people didn’t go there much. I tried it and it was true that I didn’t see any Thai people there. As for the food, the har gow was very good. The shrimps were big. The xiao long bao was very delicious. The other dishes were also delicious, but I think I ordered too much and felt a bit greasy. The second restaurant is a stewed tendon noodle shop (beef). I think the stewed tendons here are very well done. They’re not tough at all. They’re delicious. You get a lot. I couldn’t finish it. The noodles are egg noodles. They’re a bit crunchy and have a good bite. I ordered bread because the owner told me that if we had savory food, why not have some dessert? So I tried it. I personally think it’s good for breakfast. The next restaurant is a dim sum shop by an auntie. It’s near the red tea shop in Mongkok. I have to say that eating it in the cold weather is so awesome. The dim sum is so delicious. I think there should be restaurants like this all over the city and they should be just as delicious. Next is breakfast. It's a steamed bun and beef ball. We bought it at MTR Central. It tastes good. The beef ball is delicious. Eating it for breakfast is filling. BBQ KING is a shop near the hotel where we stayed. At first, we didn't plan to come here. In the end, we went for 2 days in a row. The crab fat is very delicious. Other menus are also delicious, such as Mala or stir-fried squid. The next shop is another tendon noodle shop. I can't remember the name of the shop. I think it's on Nathan Road. The name of the shop means something strange. The taste of the tendon stew is good again. It's very well made. They give a lot. I couldn't finish it. As for the meatballs, I think they might be a bit bland. Chung Kee Congee, a congee shop, is near MTR Yau Ma Tei. I think many Thais go there. The shop has a Thai menu. The siu mai had a well-balanced pork filling. The steamed squid with garlic vermicelli is a rare find in typical 'Yum Cha', with a fragrant garlic taste. The octopus rice had a lotus leaf at the bottom, which made the rice especially aromatic. The texture of the rice was perfect, neither too soft nor too hard, and the octopus patty was tender and chewy, not over-steamed and dry. The stewed soup was also rich in ingredients, with the chicken feet being flavorful and tender. The service was good, and the price-performance ratio was high. Overall, it was a good experience.
