In 1419, when Hwang Hee, the prime minister of Joseon Sejong, was exiled to Namwon, he built a pavilion and named it "Gwangtong Tower". After that, in 1444, Zheng Lingzhi, the emperor of Hedong Prefecture, was attracted by the beauty of this place, and it was named Guanghan Tower by the name of "Guanglou Qingxu Mansion" where Chang'e was located, meaning that the beauty was comparable to the palace of the moon. Guanghan Pavilion is centered on Guanghan Pavilion, which consists of three small islands floating on the water, Yingzhou, Penglai and Abbot, and the Wuque Bridge, which symbolizes the meeting of the Cowherd and Weaver Girl. Gwanghan House is a representative work of courtyards in the Joseon Dynasty. It can be regarded as an important historical relic to understand the architectural skills, social customs and people's living culture at that time. Guanghan Tower is also one of the backgrounds of the Korean literary work "The Legend of Chunxiang", where Chunxiang and Li Menglong sowed the seeds of love. In order to commemorate Chunxiang, there is also a Chunxiang ancestral hall in Guanghan Building, and the "Chunxiang Festival" is held on May 5 every year.
