Transportation from Ishigaki Island to Iriomote Island is very convenient. It takes about 40 minutes by ferry⛴️. There is a bus from Ishigaki Airport✈️ to Ishigaki Port. Iriomote Island has two ports, but they are far apart, so it's best to confirm which port you need to go to in advance. Uehara Port has more ferry services, but they may be cancelled in bad weather. After arriving on the island, the hotel will arrange a shuttle bus🚌 to take you to the hotel. Hoshino Resort, although the facilities are a bit old, the overall environment is very good. A buffet restaurant exclusively for guests staying at the RISONARE Kohamajima. The interior is stylish, reminiscent of red coral (although apparently it's not actually the case), and many of the dishes used are cute. The variety of food is surprisingly small, but the sweets are particularly impressive. The poolside seats on the left side of the entrance had a great view. Drinks other than those on the buffet (such as alcohol) are charged separately. A place I wanted to stay someday. Everything was great, it was the best facility with no complaints. I stayed in the Royal Suite Room, and it was the best room with a spacious living room, daybed, private pool, jacuzzi, sauna, Refa curling iron and hair iron set...everything I could wish for. In addition, the facility offers resort wear rental (and they are quite good) in the lobby, bath salt making, popsicles, and chinsuko for free, you can move around the premises on an electric kickboard after taking a simple video course, there are two pools, a place to look at the stars, and so on, so you can enjoy the hotel all day without going outside. Hoshino Resorts Iriomote Island Hotel aims to be "Japan's first ecotourism resort". You can stay here for a minimum of two nights. The room I stayed in was a deluxe twin room. It was a spacious 54 square meter room. It doesn't feel new, but it's kept clean. The terrace was also spacious, and there was a pool below. All rooms face the sea, and since it is along the beach, which is also a sea turtle nesting ground, care has been taken to prevent indoor light from reaching the sea at night. The lounge offers free drinks and snacks until around 6pm. One of the attractions is that you can enjoy latte art. This hotel is trying to be plastic-free and PET bottle-free, and you can see the various efforts being made, such as providing free rental bottles, eliminating disposable amenities, smart laundry without detergent, and introducing all-in-one soap that takes into consideration the burden on wastewater treatment. 💡Points💡 At first glance, some people may think it's a hassle, but I was able to stay there without any problems. To get to Kohama Island from Ishigaki Island or other remote islands, you can take a ferry. This is the boarding point that everyone uses when going sightseeing on Kohama Island, but it is very small. There is also a small shop in the waiting area. Small souvenirs and drinks including alcohol are sold there. There are no bento boxes. The souvenirs are a little pricey, so it might be better to buy them on another island? I went to Kohama Island. I stayed at the RISONARE Kohama Island. The grounds are spacious and there are two pools. It was a very sunny day and I was able to see the starry sky. This time I went from Kansai Airport to Ishigaki. From there I took a ferry⛴️. The hotel shuttle bus picked me up right after I got off the ferry, so I don't think I needed to rent a car since it's a small island. There is only one store in the town, so if you want to bring something to the hotel, it's better to buy it before you get on the ferry. #summertrip #777

We booked a tour with An-ei Kanko. The tour includes hotel pick-up, round-trip bus tickets within the island, and round-trip ferry tickets to Taketomi Island for 2160 yen (online reservation). It takes about 10 minutes by high-speed ferry from Ishigaki Port to Taketomi Island. We took a bus to Kaiji Beach. From Kaiji Beach, we walked to Kondoi Beach. Kondoi Beach has the most beautiful sea ✨✨ There are also toilets and water facilities available. Be careful when leaving your belongings as crows might target your food. We walked to the central part of the island where the villages are clustered. We enjoyed island banana juice and Okinawan-style zenzai at a cafe.

Parlor Minpika is located near Nishihama Beach, a spectacular view of Hateruma Island. Their fluffy shaved ice is very popular, and the "Kuromitsu Special" is a perfect combination of black honey, kinako, and condensed milk. The shaved ice is perfect after a sweat, and it's fluffy, has a nice texture, and is really delicious. When we went, it wasn't that crowded, but the shop itself isn't very big, so it may get crowded during cafe time. 📍 Address: Hateruma, Taketomi-cho, Yaeyama-gun, Okinawa Prefecture 🕒 Business hours: 14:30-17:00 (closed in case of rain, and may be closed temporarily)  Why not refresh yourself with some cold shaved ice while looking out at Nishihama Beach? #DomesticTravelTactics #DomesticTravel 📍Location: Iriomote Island📍Location: Ishigaki Island Iriomote Island, Okinawa Prefecture Although it was off-season, the weather was comfortable during the day☀️ It takes about 50 minutes by ferry from Ishigakijima Port to Iriomote Island🚢 After arriving at Iriomote Island, I rented a motorcycle for 5,500 yen and wandered around the island🛵 *Caution If you are driving too fast or wearing slippers, you will be stopped and punished by the police⚠️ They are strictly enforcing the rules, so please be careful and enjoy sightseeing❗️ It was a place I want to come back to! Next time, let's come in the summer☀️

📍Taketomi Island An island where traditional townscapes remain, with red-tiled roofed houses, coral stone walls, white sand roads, shisa lions on the roofs, and primary colored flowers in bloom, an island where you can experience the beautiful original scenery of Okinawa. Taketomi Island is located about 6 km away from Ishigaki Island. The circumference of this island, surrounded by beautiful seas, is only about 9.2 km. The people of Taketomi Island live in houses reminiscent of the original scenery of Okinawa, and make a living.
