1. Address: Dianchi Haigeng Park Highlights: The boulevard, theme park, little coffee shops and flowers/bird life (the gulls appear in October though). It is also not very hot. Rating: 7/10 2. Address: Dianchi Xishan Cableway Highlights: *featured photos, multiple shrines of cultural figures/myths/legends, spectacular view and incredible architecture. The cableway costs 100/person and to see the Longmen Grottoes I bought the small bus ticket + return for 20 and the entrance is 30. People say it will take an hour and a half to walk to the main shrine (it took 40 minutes - maybe they account for elderly, foot traffic, photo ops and praying). Rating: 9/10 3. Address: Haigeng Dam Highlights: awesome boulevard, plethora of different flowers and excellent view of Xishan Rating: 6/10 (gulls would’ve been perfect)

Kunming Dianchi Haihong Wetland Park Seagulls are no longer attached to the sea and can fly further. If they don’t come to Kunming again, the seagulls will fly back to Siberia! Take a taxi and you will arrive at Haigeng Dam as soon as you get off the car I arrived around 12 noon, so I suggest you go earlier! Otherwise the seagulls will be full and won’t eat your bread, so just buy banana bread! ! ! Don’t buy old-fashioned bread or Panpan Seagulls won’t eat it. In Kunming | The ultimate romance brought by the water cable car When you come to Kunming, you must experience the ropeway cable car across Dianchi Lake. It is really romantic. You can overlook Dianchi Lake after the cable car goes up the mountain. Note: Don't go too late. If you go early, you can take the second section of the Xishan Cableway. This section is open and more exciting. You must return before 5 o'clock.

We took the cablecar from Xishan forest park station across Dianchi Lake to near the ethnic minority village on the other side. The cablecar ticket was included in our ticket to Xishan Forest park. The cablecar goes steeply down the side of the mountain, showing some amazing multicoloured rock faces on the way. It feels very high up but you feel very safe inside the car so if you are scared of heights don't worry too much. The cablecar then reaches the bottom of the mountain and then goes up and over the lake giving you a great view across it of the shallow and deep parts of the Lake. The final stop is near to where you can get a short cruise on the lake and the entrance to a childrens theme park. We walked about 5 minutes down the road to the entrance to the Ethnic minority villages. #passionpassport
