Frozen tofu pudding (thin, sweet) $11 Frozen tofu pudding is one of the signature desserts of Gonghe Bean Products Factory. It has a dense and smooth texture with a strong bean flavor, and the addition of brown sugar adds another taste. It is definitely the best choice for cooling off in summer. Kung Wo Beancurd factory is located at 118 Pei Ho Street, Sham Shui Po, and is open daily from 0700-2100. It is around one or two minutes walk from Sham Shui Po. Kung Wo Beancurd factory has been in Sham Shui Po since 1960. The old school stores sell various soy products, which had remained popular throughout the years, it is also known as the king of tofu pudding. I had ordered a cold beancurd pudding and a mix of deep fried tofu and beancurd skin. You need to add the sugar on your beancurd, and the sauce on the tofu.

Growing up in Sham Shui Po, I am no stranger to this century-old shop. The shop insists on making tofu, tofu puffs, soy milk and other soy products by hand every day, using non-GMO soybeans and grinding them with stone mills to retain the traditional flavor. The tofu pudding is smooth and delicate, and the soy milk has a strong bean flavor. It is one of the signature dishes and has also been recommended by Michelin Street Food and Bib Gourmand. Hong Kong's traditional brand Kung Wo has launched tofu ice cream and tofu pudding. Today, I happened to be in Sham Shui Po and passed by Kung Wo. I noticed they have two dessert options. Of course, I had to try them out since they’re new (or maybe I just didn’t know when they were launched, so I’m treating them as new 🤣). 🔸 Ginger Syrup Tofu Ice Cream $15 🔸 Tofu Pudding $18 The tofu flavor in the ice cream is quite strong, but the ginger syrup provided isn’t enough, so the ginger taste isn’t prominent. Adding more syrup would make it even better. The portion of the tofu pudding is relatively small, and the tofu flavor isn’t as pronounced as in the ice cream.
