Sea Turtle Hatchery/Sea Turtle Conservation Center Kosgoda Sea Turtle Conservation Project There are countless sea turtle hatcheries in Galle this city, but we chose to go to this is a conservation center, there are several foreign voluntary workers (volunteers) come to this place to help, volunteers will help introduce the whole center and the characteristics of each sea turtle, a quite enjoyable trip. Admission is quite expensive, 2000LKR, $53HKD, visit time 20-30mins

Sri Lanka was the destination we chose for my Husband and I to meet my cousin and his wife after not seeing them for almost 1.5 years. It was the perfect country for a perfect reunion. We traveled from Colombo to Kandy and back again and thereafter from Colombo to Galle. We visited an Ayurveda garden, gemstone warehouse, tea factory, watched a Cultural Show, 2ent to the Buddha's Tooth relic temple, and visited a Sea Turtle conservation center. The hotels we stayed at: Granbell Hotel, Colombo The Trees, Kandy The Araliya Redort and Spa, Galle. Tips: 1. Book a private driver to take you around as it is convenient and they will serve as a tour guide. 2. If you want to do the Blue train you would have to book well in advance. We opted not to do it as based on my research it usually takes 8-9hours (as opposed to the 6-7 hours stated online) from Kandy to Ella and we unfortunately did not have a lot of time in Sri Lanka. 3. The locals are absolutely friendly and so helpful. They do appreciate tips in Sri Lanka. 4. Private tours usually result in the driver taking you to tourist type spots, which can be pricy. Try to visit local malls and supermarkets to get better prices. 5. Check whether any fasts will be observed as we found out that alcohol is not served nationally on a Full Moon Day which is referred to as "Poya." 6. Download the Pick Me App as it can be very useful and convenient to get around. 7. Try to allocate 2 weeks or more to get the best out of your travel to Sri Lanka. 8. For tea Lovers, Sri Lanka is heaven, enjoy the plantations and factories. 9. Driving between the major tourist spots like Colombo to Kandy or Colombo to Galle takes at least 3-4 hours if not more depending on whether you stop along the way, be prepared for these long drives.
