There are not many people on the island, but they are very friendly. I participated in snorkeling activities. The water is very clear. I will definitely come again!

\How to spend time on Kohama Island/ ⁡ This is one of my favorite islands🩵 The feeling of exhilaration when you rent a bike and ride through the sugarcane fields (which are almost gone now) is amazing! I heard it was used as a filming location for something. Also, there was a restaurant called Yuuna that was incredibly delicious! They serve island dishes and snacks, so it's perfect for those who want alcohol and delicious food! I finally visited the Yaeyama Islands, specifically Kohama Island, which I had always wanted to go to. It takes about 30 minutes by regular ferry from the Euglena Ishigaki Port Remote Island Terminal. The round trip costs 2,700 yen. This island was the setting for the drama 'Churasan.' It takes about 50 steps up the stairs to reach the observation deck of Mount Ufudaki. There, you will find a monument dedicated to 'Churasan.' The view of the blue sky and sea from there is absolutely stunning. The Kohagura Residence, which was used as a filming location, is a private home, so you can only view it from the outside. The Sugar Road was used as the main character's school route. The nostalgic scenery is highly recommended☺️
