Everyone's going to Koh Piku🐗🌊
If you haven't been to Koh Piku in the Bahamas, you can try Koh Madsum instead!💛
Pig Island is so popular with celebrities and bloggers.
Every time I scroll through your feed, I see it. It's like a piglet is calling me to visit. This Koh Samui trip, Ing, made a note to visit the piglets!
🚤Getting there:
There are usually a lot of round-trip boat services to Koh Madsum and Koh Tan. There are fishing boats and yachts, depending on your budget. You can charter a boat for groups or couples.
However, during our visit, there was a monsoon and it was a weekday, so there were very few tourists, so there were hardly any boats available. (You have to be prepared for the rainy season! 😭) In the end, when the rain stopped, we chartered a boat to Koh Madsum and Koh Tan.
💵Boat Charter Price
Most charter boat operators charge around 1,500 baht for a round-trip to two islands. You can split the cost between groups, the cheaper the trip. They have a boat guide to take care of you throughout the trip, so no worries!
⏰How long is the trip?
The boat ride from Koh Samui to Koh Madsum and Koh Tan takes only 15-20 minutes. It's quite close.
🚣🏻♀️Activities
- Visit Koh Madsum and feed the pigs.
- Visit Koh Tan and snorkel. They provide all the necessary snorkeling equipment.
Some places even offer meals on the island.
There's also a restaurant on the island and kayaks for rent.
🐗Where do the pigs come from?
I posted this on my story and everyone asked where the wild boars came from. 🤣5555555 I asked the guide, and he said that at first, there were only 2-3 people who brought them on the boat to raise on Koh Madsum. But eventually, it grew into a large family of 10. Now, the staff can't handle it anymore because they're so picky eaters, so they're trying to limit the number.
📸How do you take photos with the pigs?
Don't think that just because you're an animal lover, pigs will come to you. The reason you see pigs running over is because they're just craving food!
We had to buy some rice crackers or morning glory to lure them, lol. A bag of rice crackers costs 50 baht. If you want to play with them, buy them some food and let them wander around.
Or if you prefer to take photos of them still, you can take photos of them sleeping on the beach.
If you're planning to visit the pigs, I hope this post helps. Check out the nonsensical details below the photos. See you in the next post!
Tag your boyfriend, tag your friends, tag your significant other, and be a little coaxing and forcing. Let's go visit the pigs!!🐗💛
