Long-tail boat picnic was one of the best experiences I had for my Krabi trip. There are many agents providing long-tail boat from Ap Nang or Tubkaak beach to Koh Hong. But not sure if there are that many that provided picnic set. We used our hotel service since it was convenient for us to go from our hotel beach. The price was quite high for long-tail boat ride to Ko Hong, but I think it was worth going. The picnic was beautiful and eatable. The boat driver was very patient and kind enough to take tons of photos for us. Definitely Fun and luxurious!!

Magnificent superb 360' full view of Hong Island at the top of the platform. Going up takes around 10 minutes or more, depending on each individual stamina on welly maintained and solid stairs; do take note that some parts are quite steep. There are also rest spots in between with views to take some photos or stop for a rest before continuing up to the top. It's worth all the effort and every single drop of your sweat for the view on top; great exercising as well👍👍👍👍👍 Highly recommended and suggested for everyone to continue all the way up to the top and not give up halfway. Then, achieved❤️ It's a very long a steep climb up the 400+ steps, but it is well worth it for the view from the top. Flip flops or sandals are sufficient, but bare feet will struggle on the expanded steel stairs. There are 4 resting spots. If you can get past the first point, the next point came to mind. I suggest that you prepare shoes and water. Water is the most important thing going up and ofcourse the sunblock. Especially when you’ll be on the top there is nothing even trees. Krabi is all about exploring various small islands, either going out to sea or staying by the sea🌊 You can join a one-day group tour or travel independently, either way, you'll depart from Ao Nang Pier. To save trouble, my friend and I picked up several brochures from the hotel front desk, studied the different times and routes, and directly booked the next day's itinerary at the front desk. So the next day, a car came directly to our hotel to pick us up and take us to the pier 🚢 ❗I suggest you check the itinerary time. There are tours that go to four, five, six, seven islands in one day, starting early in the morning. I don't recommend this at all, it's not comfortable. I chose to depart at noon, so I could sleep in at the hotel, have breakfast, and then set off leisurely. Going to Hong Island and a nearby small island whose name I don't know was completely enough, the arrangement was already rich enough! (The price is 1700🐖+300 🐖island fee/person) We left the pier by long-tail boat at around 12:30, and arrived at our destination about forty to fifty minutes later. We passed some caves and cliffs along the way, and if the tide wasn't high, we could stop and take a look. We arrived at Hong Island almost at two o'clock, and then it was free time! Hong Island is located in Krabi province. It was almost one hour boat ride from Ao Nang or Tubkaak beach. There are many tour agencies proving one day trip tour from Krabi to Hong Island. We decided to use private boat. Yes, it was more expensive than the join tours. But private time gave us better experience. Hong Island was gorgeous; crystal clear water and beautiful white sand are great combinations. It was lovely to snorkel, still lovely just to sit and have picnic there. The view point is quite a walk though. You don’t have to be that fit, but it was quite a climb if you didn’t exercise that often. The view from the top was absolutely stunning.
