The mountain earned its name from the Thai words: "Khao" (mountain), "Ngon" (crested), and "Nak" (Naga, a mythical serpent/dragon), reflecting its dragon-like crest shape
The hike is approximately 3.7 km one-way (7.4 km round-trip), with an elevation gain of about 500–550 m. The summit rests at around 565 m above sea level .This moderately cDragon hallenging trail weaves through shady jungle, features steep inclines, rocky and sometimes slippery terrain, wooden steps, scrambles, and occasional ropes for support near the summit.Midway Vistas Several viewpoints gradually reveal lush forests, coastline, and the Andaman Sea
