21 Gough Street, Central, Hong Kong The Kai Kee Restaurant is located 20 minutes walk from the central MTR station. The shop is open from Monday to Saturday, from 12pm to 10pm. Be prepared to go there early as there might be long queue. My family and I waited for 15 minute before going in. We have to sit separately as there wasn't enough seat for all of us to sit together. The place was quite small, and you will have to share your food sitting with 5 to 6 strangers. I find it uncomfortable to dine in there as I could hardly cross my legs, and I could hardly stretch my arms to stir the noodles. There is a note that says each person must spend at least 50 HKD. When we ordered too little, the staff would nag at us saying we ordered too little. Want to spend more time here, please order more. We find the brisket beef noodle average only. The size was quite small and we weren't full after having the food. Coming to Hong Kong is mostly food-motivated for me and I have tried so many of them. Kau Kee restaurant is Michelin star rated and located at Central and super famous for their beef brisket noodles. This is also one of my favourite noodles. They have a minimum order and each person has to order 1 main dish. This restaurant was also visited by local politicians and famous celebrities. The interior is pretty cramped and is expected to share tables with strangers, making it like our hawker centre style but within a restaurant. As a group of six, we have to split up and sit on two separate tables. The tables are very small to accommodate many people. Each person has to order at least a bowl of noodles in order to sit in. The food was served quickly. The portion was small and the price was on the higher side. I ordered a beef noodle which cost 50 Hong Kong dollars. Taste wise I feel it is average. I might have gone to the coral sea cafe to enjoy a more sumptuous meal for this price with a more conducive dining environment. #bucketlistreboot
