Preveli Beach in Crete is an absolute paradise, easily one of the most stunning beaches in Europe. 🌊✨ What makes it so special is the breathtaking combination of golden sand, turquoise waters, and a lush palm forest lining the river that flows into the sea. 🌴💙 To get there, you can either take a boat or hike down a scenic (but steep) path from the cliffs above. 🏔️ The view from the top is absolutely incredible, with the river winding its way through the palm grove before meeting the sea. It looks like something out of a dream! 🌅 The beach itself is perfect for relaxing, swimming, or even exploring the freshwater river where you can take a dip in the cool water. 💦 If you visit outside peak summer months, you’ll find it much quieter, making it an even more magical experience. You can access the beach easily by car, and the walk down to the water is short but scenic. 🚗🌄 In peak season, it might get busier, but if you visit in autumn or spring, you'll get to experience its raw beauty in peace. Preveli Monastery is rightfully considered one of the most interesting sights of Crete. It is built on a mountain slope with a very beautiful view of the Libyan Sea. On the way from Rethymnon to Preveli, you can see the picturesque Kourtaliotiko Gorge and visit the village of Spili. Near the monastery is Preveli Beach, known as Palm Beach. How to get there: The distance from Rethymnon to Preveli Monastery is 32 kilometers.
