The park at the foot of Mt. Itokaimon-dake. There are more than 100,000 tropical and subtropical plants of 500 species planted in the park. Its lushness is praised as the No. 1 subtropical botanical garden in Japan. The park has free-range "Tokara horses" that are native to Japan and designated as a protected animal, and visitors can touch them. You can see the East China Sea from the observatory, and you can overlook Lake Ikeda from the observatories of Nagasakihana and Cape Sata.
