Welcome to the stunning papercut art of the Pink Romantic Planet
Chinese traditional 'papercutting' can still be played with in so many ways🤔
·
A flower, a pair of hands, a continuously extending giant dragon, a piece of shimmering, spinning wallpaper... Post-90s artist Chen Fenwan has given countless answers. In this exhibition, papercutting is emotion, destiny, memory, soul, and boundless imagination...

✂️Art creations that are visually stunning
✂️Fall into the pink universe of romantic imagination

As soon as you enter the exhibition hall, you are immediately awestruck by a giant pink dragon🐉‼️ It's so beautiful that it leaves you speechless‼️ Although I knew about this work long ago, seeing it in person is still shocking, especially when it's made with papercutting. There's also 'Diabolo Memory,' which was initially a collaboration with GUCCI, and this time there's a brand new creation in the exhibition, which is simply beautiful up close~ No wonder Chen Fenwan is favored for collaborations by so many big brands.

🎀Fun and photogenic
🎀The creative implications behind it are even more thought-provoking
·
A good work is definitely one that can evoke a collective resonance💡 For example, 'Ah Wall' - an installation art piece from last year's 'Nanhai Land Art Festival' in Foshan, which collected local wall skins and meticulously carved them into papercuts, integrating the names of local residents into the wallpaper, then hanging them together to form a large spatial work. The fragments of memory keep turning, shimmering and overlapping, not only producing great photos but also touching me with the deep creative meaning behind them.
·
Another piece I really like is 'Turnaround Garden,' a work from the 2021 Chengdu Biennale - 'hands' are carved into paper, made into spinning flowers. Palm lines represent fate, and the combination and rotation of different palm lines create a sparkling array of fortune, as if just by entering and turning around, one could 'strike it big,' which is a super interesting implication❗️
