Hop on a train to reach Jungfraujoch, the Top of Europe, without the huffing and puffing! The air thins as you head up the mountain so take note not to over exert yourself. The ice palace with beautiful ice sculptures is fascinating to visit, especially if you are from the tropics like me! Walking in the snow is fun but watch out for slippery ice as you queue to take a pic with Swiss flag. The view is breathtaking and it is COLD! Sunnies are really helpful with the blinding snow. Something special to do would be to video call your loved ones and show them the Top of Europe ❤️ There are a couple of eateries and a variety of shops if you are looking for Swiss gifts and keepsakes. The Top of Europe pass entitles you to some discount here. Opt for the gondolas as you head down to Grindelwald first where you can get a cuppa hot (Lindt) chocolate: it’s amazingly good! It is an wonderful experience coming up here without doing a the hiking as people in the past did. The train ride was very comfortable and we were able to see the transformation from green valey ro snow-slope and snowy mountain. The moment we reached the top, the view was absolutely amazing. The journey took around 30 minutes and once we reach Lauterbrunnen, we switched trains to the Wengernalp Railway service which takes us up to Kleine Scheidegg. We spent sometimes in Lauterbrunnen and enjoyed the view of the Lauterbrunnen valley with its Staubbach Fall as we slowly travel to our destination. Once we reached Kleine Scheidegg, we started the final part of our journey. We took the train from Kleine Scheidegg to Jungfraujoch. There is 2 popular mountains here in Switzerland, 1 is the matterhorn mountain while the other is the jungfraujoch mountain(the tallest mountain in Europe). Jungfrau(pronounced as Yong Frau), got its popularity because of the beautiful train ride you get on from Wengen where it will gives you a scenic 360 view from the train while going up to the mountain, it also is called the top of Europe, this means the air up there is thin! Ample clothing here is definitely needed as all year round it is cold and icy but of course do not head here during winter, I've never tried because I assume if the town is freezing, I can't imagine what's up here. From Grindelwald, we took the Eiger Express, which opened in December 2020, to Jungfraujoch. The view of Grindelwald from the large windows, which seated 26 people, was magnificent. No matter where you looked, the spectacular views of Switzerland spread out before you. After arriving at Eiger, we walked a little and headed for a place where we could take photos of the mountain train. It took about 15 minutes to reach our destination. The red mountain train (which ran every 30 minutes) and the alpine plants were exactly the spectacular view we were looking for. The snow Moutain was really amazing when you reach to the top please get more warm cloths and it’s really cold . And some of you may need to oxygen tank which you can get it from down there. The only way to go up to the top of Europe is by train remember to get a window seat as you can see the best beautiful scenery from the window. Overall it was a great one and dream place to go. #fallishere The Jungfraujoch is a saddle connecting two major 4000ers of the Bernese Alp. the Jungfrau and the Monch. it lies at an elevation of 3463 meters above the sea level and is directly overlooked by the rocky prominence of the Sphinx. it’s amazing here and we finally on top of the ToP of Europe . is pretty cold here get ready more heat teach and warm clothes when you are visiting here. overlooking the city in autumn from the view point is amazing. we spent a full half day here and we love it. recommended 👍🏻 #awesomepic #couplestrip

#fallishere but Jungfraujoch snow whole year along! the differences is -10 degree during fall and -20 during winter. it’s located near Grindelwald with only 15 mins of Eiger express cable car and another 30 mins of the world tallest train would take you up to a 4,300 m above sea level mountain. the time spend there could varies from 2-4 hours depending on what you do but it’s best to take your time slow cause altitude sickness can kick in due to the fast accent.
