Jin Street is one of the top ten famous commercial streets in China. It was built in 1902. It was originally named Du Consul Road and Roosevelt Road. In 1953, it was renamed "Heping Road" to mean "love of peace". It is the cradle of modern Tianjin commerce, a symbol of Tianjin's prosperity, and the pride of Tianjin people. Jin Street is a tourist and leisure shopping street that integrates sightseeing, shopping, Dining, entertainment, and leisure. The street lights and street buildings on the 1.3-kilometer-long pedestrian street are all designed in European style. Some representative buildings such as the department store and the four-sided clock have restored their original style. Jin Street not only has large department stores with a long history such as Quanyechang, Zhongyuan Company, and the department store, and traditional stores such as Tianjin Shoe Store, Hengdeli Watch Store, Guanshengyuan Food Store, Guishunzhai Cake Shop, Zhengxingde Tea House, and Shengxifu Hat Shop, but also large shopping centers such as Binjiang Commercial Building, Friendship New World, and Milaiou. Newly built joint venture shopping centers and specialty stores such as Jili Building, International Shopping Mall, Yidujin, and Maigou are lined up one after another. The small commodity market from Shandong Road to Nanjing Road on Binjiang Road Commercial Street is full of stalls and tourists. At night, colorful lights flicker and some snack stalls with Tianjin flavor open for business, forming the night market landscape of Tianjin. Liaoning Road is one of the birthplaces of Tianjin snack culture. More than 50 shops have launched more than 50 kinds of snacks, which has brought fresh blood to this snack street with a century of history. Residents can taste authentic snacks here while shopping on Jin Street.
