1. Room: We booked a children's room, which was decorated with a Little Yellow Duck theme, including a small tent, carpet, game table, pillows, bed sheets, cups, etc. Overall, it looks nice, and the child liked it very much. The room overlooks the 'Garden' commercial area. The buildings here are not tall, so even though it's not near the river, it's still okay.
2. Breakfast: Overall average, too few and crowded seats. The dishes are also average. 128 per person, free for children under 1.2 meters. Luckily, I don't have high requirements for food; as long as there's coffee and bread, I'm good.
3. Public Area: There is a small playground on the third floor, with complete and new facilities, which is more than enough for kids around 3 years old. There's also a gym and a swimming pool, but we didn't have the chance to experience them as we were with the child.
4. Surroundings: Downstairs is a small commercial area with shops I've never heard of, all of which are restaurants. Apart from McDonald's and Heytea, there's a China Resources supermarket on the basement floor. The other restaurants didn't look good, so we didn't dare to try them.
5. Service: The service is excellent. It's the first time a hotel staff escorted me to my floor, very attentive and patient.

You can book the family room in advance, which is more suitable for a family of three. The king room is also very nice, with a 50-square-meter space, a good design sense, and electric curtains and toilets. There is an independent makeup area, and the hotel thoughtfully prepared welcome fruits, making the family trip very comfortable!

The hotel opened recently, and all the facilities are brand new, mainly serving the convention and exhibition center.
The service indeed meets the professional convention support standards.
The stay experience is very good, with BYREDO toiletries provided.
The breakfast is very cost-effective compared to hotels of the same level. I spent 80% of the price of a five-star hotel in the city center but stayed in a room twice the size of those in the city center.
It is very close to the airport.
Suitable for those who need to catch early or late flights and guests attending conferences.
There are some restaurants on the left side of the hotel entrance, and nearby attractions include Bao'an Mangrove.
The hotel service is good, and the room service is polite and attentive.
The capsule coffee in the mini bar is highly praised, but the desserts in the Yue restaurant are not appealing, especially the chocolate. Don't expect too much from the seafood either. The food is okay, but the suggestion for the lounge is to use double-layer insulated cups for hot drinks, as guests might mistakenly take a big sip and burn their mouths.

The entire lobby environment is high-end and comfortable, with a large space, and the rest area is very convenient~ Concierge, lobby bar, buffet restaurant, front desk, first-floor lounge, the entire connection is very simple, and the flow is smooth for a seamless check-in experience! The lobby has an 11-meter high ceiling, which is very impressive at first glance!
3. The design of the hotel room is very high-end! The space design style is very unique. Grab a magazine and sit down, and it's like a photo shoot. The 2-meter large bed is incredibly comfortable to sleep in! The room also feels very spacious, 50 square meters, very comfortable to stay in, and thoughtfully provides a makeup area, so no more struggling to do makeup in front of the bathroom mirror. Location: Next to the Bao'an International Exhibition Center, luckily it's right at the B exit of the North Exhibition Metro Station, otherwise, the location is really inconvenient.
Accommodation: Front desk lady Bella was super nice! She upgraded us to a Supreme King Bed Room for free, with 180-degree floor-to-ceiling windows, offering a panoramic view of the exhibition center and the airport. The view is absolutely amazing!
The bathroom has a smart toilet and a bathtub! First time experiencing the facilities of a five-star hotel, it feels so luxurious.
- The building has two swimming pools and a gym, fully equipped (although I got tired after swimming for a bit hhhh).
Additionally, the nearby facilities are relatively incomplete, but it's suitable for city walks. At night, it doesn't even feel like being in Shenzhen.
!. Minor drawbacks:
1. Automatic curtains, but not smart curtains. The most awkward part is that there's no curtain switch by the bed! When the room is big, you have to walk quite a bit to close the curtains before you can rest.
2. Food delivery can't be sent upstairs! You have to pick it up from the delivery locker outside. The front desk said it's for food safety, which is understandable (So what's the point of the delivery robots inside then?).

The group's third InterContinental™️ just opened not long ago, and now Shenzhen has three ICs, from the eastern resort area, to the central city, and now to the western exhibition area. Even with three properties, their styles, characteristics, and locations are all distinct, attracting completely different clienteles. The latest, InterContinental Shenzhen WECC, is owned by a powerful local alliance between China Merchants and OCT (Overseas Chinese Town), ensuring the creation of an even more exceptional brand.
The hotel is part of a complex, so the basement parking is shared with the building, making parking spaces quite limited. It's likely you'll end up parking far from the elevator since there's only the B1 level. Adjacent to a shopping mall, it's quite convenient if you don't want to stay in the hotel, you can also take a stroll. During 'International Convention and Exhibition' events, nearby hotel prices skyrocket, but otherwise, it's a nice vacation destination.
As soon as you step into the lobby, you can tell this InterContinental is different. The overall design is based on black and gold, with occasional touches of dark green and light pink, exuding an elegant atmosphere, which is also completely different from the other two InterContinental hotels in Shenzhen.
The amenities are from the perfume brand BYREDO, established in 2006, which is also the brand IC has unified with after switching to larger bottles. I like its minimalist fragrance, not too aggressive, very comfortable, and the abundant foam has strong cleaning power. The hairdryer is from Dyson, the convenient steamer is from tonney, and I really like the extensive use of marble in the bathroom and the shelves provided for guests' personal items.
The red footstools and carpets in the guest rooms are eye-catching. The Chinese basket-style storage contains tea leaves and coffee capsules, but I feel the tea bag brand is a bit lacking. The current view outside the window is average, but it's said to be in the planning stages, so just draw the curtains and enjoy the room service.
The hotel's gym is outsourced to 'Kas Fitness & Swimming', which I noticed is a high-end brand under 'Goodlife Fitness'. I don't understand why they didn't continue with the waterfall brand commonly used by OCT, even though it's outsourced.
The executive lounge at the InterContinental Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center Hotel is a highlight. It doesn't offer breakfast and opens at 10:30. The hotel's overall design seems to be concentrated here, and if you don't visit the lounge, you'll miss out on a lot of the experience.
Looking forward to the hotel's signature restaurant opening, and coming back for another visit.

The carpet is even a Monopoly game map.
You could literally play all day in the room.
We couldn't stay because it was fully booked, but after a quick visit, I immediately decided that we must come back for a second visit!

The selection is very comprehensive, with seafood, grill, hot dishes, sushi sashimi, desserts, and more across 8 different sections.
Just the seafood alone includes over a dozen varieties, with crayfish available recently, and the provided green dragon and Buddha Jumps Over the Wall are also made with great care. Additionally, the daily special non-alcoholic cocktails have won my heart. The all-you-can-eat buffet has everything you could want.
Oh, and there are specific dishes that are very delicious and made with fresh ingredients, and the variety of desserts almost spoiled my baby.
There's also a small children's playground, giving moms a break to enjoy their meal.
The third floor has a constant temperature swimming pool, so you no longer have to worry about your baby getting a runny nose from playing in the water!
Spending the weekend here for some parent-child time was so much fun!

🛏【Room Type/Layout】: The room experienced this time is a single-bedroom suite, which should also be the highest level available in this hotel. The more advanced Ambassador Suite and Royal Suite are not currently open through official channels.
The single-bedroom suite is marked as 120 square meters, and it is said that all are corner rooms, one per floor and all are type 01 rooms. The distribution of the rooms is quite ingenious, with their own exclusive corridor at the entrance, no other rooms to disturb, offering good privacy.
The room decoration is very luxurious, above the general business high-end hotel standard, fully deserving of the luxury level. Marble has a high appearance rate, and only the living room space uses a more homely wooden floor. The bedroom area has a very friendly-sized walk-in closet, and the bathroom is as large as the bedroom itself. ⛺【Recreation Projects】: The gym and swimming pool are both located on the 3rd floor of the hotel. After the typhoon, they were already closed in the evening.
The gym of this IC is outsourced, which is something that needs improvement for a hotel of this caliber. From another perspective, it is understandable for the hotel to make this decision, as outsourcing allows the hotel to secure a steady cash flow to ensure profits. However, from the guest's perspective, outsourcing means more external customers crowding in, and the user experience is definitely diminished. The swimming pool is as smooth as a mirror, and without people, even the lights were not turned on, equipped with a jacuzzi, and the water temperature is very suitable.
In addition, there is a children's play center on the same floor, which the hotel calls: InterContinental Little Players. But because it is outdoors, it was already closed on typhoon days. However, there is also a children's play area next to the breakfast restaurant, so guests with children won't be at a loss.
Since it's called the Convention and Exhibition Center InterContinental, I was curious and visited the hotel's convention and exhibition area. The convention and exhibition floor on the 2nd floor is indeed a world of its own, with banquet halls, board meeting rooms, small meeting rooms, and various other meeting facilities, which must be bustling during the exhibition period.

The standard of the lounge, compared to the shock brought by the room, may be slightly inferior. The variety of food is not much, and the soft drinks are not too rich, but fortunately, the food is quite exquisite, and the taste is good. In addition, the level of some desserts and light meals is online, which cannot be compared to the breakfast desserts.
Breakfast is located on the first floor of the Yue Restaurant, with a complete variety of food, and more drinks than the lounge the day before yesterday, with fresh juices or various sweet soups available. Members have a special area, and the waiters will actively ask about the dining experience.

Shenzhen | The Eden on land
Before going to Shanghai, I made another trip to Hong Kong. And the most convenient way to get from Hong Kong to Shenzhen by plane is to take a boat, which goes directly from Central to Shenzhen Airport Pier.
After solving the transportation issue, I needed to address the accommodation for transit. Since I had already stayed at all three Hyatt hotels at the airport, this time I chose the InterContinental Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center, which is just four subway stops away from the airport and had just opened.

Why is it called the Eden on land? Because from the hotel's architectural design, to the sculpture at the entrance, to the interior soft furnishings, everything is a tribute to China Merchants Group's first ship, the Eden. The sculptures of rolling waves, the rugged metal railings, the color scheme of deep red and black, and other design elements all echo the Eden.
The overall color scheme of the hotel is very InterContinental, with brass-colored metal running through the entire hotel from the outside to the inside. Opposite the welcome corridor is a whole wall of golden metal with a tumultuous wave pattern, matched with dark gold metal walls on both sides and a very high ceiling, giving a powerful impression. Opposite the check-in area in the lobby is a rest area with a pattern of twinkling stars on the river surface.
The guest room area unusually uses deep red sofas and cushions, combined with dark brown wood materials and gray fabrics, adorned with a touch of gold metal, creating an overall calm and upscale ambiance, which I really like. All rooms are equipped with smart toilets, and the bedding is of very good quality.

In terms of service, as a hotel with Golden Key service, it can be said to be the best service I have experienced in an InterContinental so far. From the moment of arrival, there was someone to take care of the luggage and lead the way to check-in. Sometimes when walking in the hotel, as long as you make eye contact, there will be staff asking if you need help. The restaurant actively leads to seats, recognizes membership status, and directly takes you to the exclusive area for members, introducing the various functional areas along the way. The variety of the buffet breakfast and dinner is not small, with a rich selection of bread and pastries, although the quality of the sashimi could be improved.

The toiletries are Borghese. The living room decoration is more business-oriented, and the bedroom and bathroom are mainly white, with a Nordic minimalist and cool style.
