📍 Nara Goldfish Street Visit Review
Located in the heart of Nara, Goldfish Street, as its name suggests, is a small shopping street filled with goldfish-shaped decorations and trinkets. 🐟 The overall quiet and tranquil atmosphere made it a great place to stroll, and I saw more locals than tourists. Old shops line both sides of the street, selling snacks, sundries, and traditional ornaments. Prices are generally reasonable, and the street has a refined atmosphere typical of small Japanese towns.
While the street itself isn't long, there are photo spots scattered along the way, making it perfect for taking quick photos and experiencing the local atmosphere. 📸 However, there aren't many unique attractions, so it's better to combine it with nearby attractions (like Nara Park and Todaiji Temple) rather than going out of your way to visit. It's a great place to relax with a drink or a snack.
Overall, the street is quiet and unpretentious, making it a great place to stop by after exploring the busy tourist attractions. Especially in the evening, the lights of the shops come on, creating a warm atmosphere. 🌆

📍Nara Goldfish Street Visit Review
Nara's Goldfish Street is a street that blends traditional local ambiance with rustic shops. Its proximity to Todaiji Temple and Nara Park made it a great place to explore alongside them. Small souvenir shops and snack stalls line the street from the entrance, with many selling Japanese handicrafts and snacks. The selection was focused on tourist-oriented items rather than local specialties, and prices were relatively reasonable. 🎎
The street itself isn't long, but it's pleasant to stroll along, with benches scattered throughout for a rest. However, it can get quite crowded on weekend afternoons, making for a somewhat slow-paced experience. Snacks like takoyaki, yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), and goldfish-shaped taiyaki (spicy fish balls) were available, most of which were cooked on site and served warm. 🐟
Overall, it was a great place for a leisurely stroll for tourists. It's not a place to stay for a long time, but it's a great place to stop by before or after a visit to Todaiji Temple or Nara Park. While it's a great photo spot, it's not a place with many unique attractions, but rather a place to enjoy a peaceful atmosphere. 🎐

Treasure Hunt at Nara Yanagimachi Shopping Street [Yamamoto Pottery Shop]
If you have the opportunity to visit Yamatokoriyama, the hometown of goldfish, you must go to Yanagimachi Shopping Street to hunt for treasures. There is an old pottery shop with a lot of stories in the shopping street [Yamamoto Pottery Shop]. There are a wide variety of products, and you can find super cheap exquisite and interesting pottery and porcelain. The cutest thing is the store owner himself. The super amiable and smiling pottery grandfather will communicate with you in the little English he knows and explain the features of the products you buy. You can fully feel the happiness of shopping in the old shopping street. This part is a rare experience, and I highly recommend that everyone must come to hunt for treasures.

Nara Prefecture's famous "Goldfish Street" in Mount Yamato, immerse yourself in the world of goldfish!
Although the goldfish character is everywhere on the street, the hottest spot now is the Yanagi-cho shopping street, also known as "Goldfish Street," which is very close to the Kintetsu Jurusan Station. The first encounter was with the "Station Automatic Ticket Checking Machine Type Water Tank" that debuted in the spring of 2017! This was the plan of the best first-year female student from a prefectural high school in the "National Goldfish Room/Home Design Contest" held in Yamatokoriyama City in 2016. There are cute goldfish swimming around in it. If there were such a good ticket checking machine, more people would probably take the train! It must be realized!
Across the road from the automatic ticket checking machine's water tank is the "Goldfish Automatic Vending Machine"...!? Upon closer inspection, there are goldfish inside! They have a very unique playful nature. The one who placed this vending machine at the front of the store is "Goldfish Café ~ Yanagawa House, Sunny Place ~". If you disturb the store, you will be attracted by the beautiful goldfish. There are also goldfish swimming on the table! It's really charming. The original goldfish table ordered by the store owner for design is also great. What you must try here is the too cute visual effect of the "Goldfish Soda". It reminds people of a glass of soda in a goldfish tank, with added lemon-flavored soda, pineapple, kiwi and other fruits, both in appearance and taste are very refreshing. The goldfish-shaped yellow peach seems to be swimming, and it's hesitant to eat.
