How to unlock an unbeatable sea view hotel in Hong Kong for under $1000?
As everyone knows, hotels in Hong Kong are generally small in size with limited views. I remember staying at a hotel in the Central residential area before, which cost over $1000 without breakfast or a view; a city view hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui was even over $3000, and if you want a sea view, the price is even more unimaginable.
This time, I discovered a new hotspot and chose to stay in North Point, a place that combines local life and urban vibes, at a Hyatt hotel.
🏨 Accommodation:
We stayed in a 180-degree full sea view room, and the best part was that even the bathtub faced the unbeatable sea view. Off-season prices are under $1000, and for a little extra, you can upgrade to the 180-degree full sea view room. The hotel’s 23rd-floor pool is also highly recommended.
🛍️ Shopping:
Right downstairs is North Point Plaza mall, and within a few hundred meters, there are Mannings and Upstairs, with no tourists rushing to buy, making the shopping experience excellent. If you want to experience local supermarkets, you can go to Yata downstairs or Wellcome a few hundred meters away.
🍜 Food:
The hotel provides a very useful "Explore North Point" map, which not only marks nearby city walk routes but also thoughtfully includes vouchers for 5 recommended snack shops, including Lee Keung Kee Egg Waffles, Yik Sau Tong Herbal Tea, Auntie Rice Rolls, and more, basically having a local expert plan your itinerary—you just follow and eat. The third floor of Java Road Market is a cooked food center, similar to a food court in Singapore, offering great value.
🚌 Transportation:
Right downstairs is the Airport Express A12 bus and North Point MTR station, making it convenient to go anywhere. We went to the Monster Building for photos, Causeway Bay, and Tsim Sha Tsui all by public transport, and we even got to experience air-conditioned double-decker buses and trams while enjoying the scenery along the way.
