Hulunbuir Parent-Child Travel Route!
Hulunbuir summer vacation must-have guide for traveling with kids‼️Recommended must-do activities
If you are planning a family trip, why not choose Hulunbuir for a parent-child tour‼️Let your child👶🏻 have a unique childhood, where they can see a broader world and feel the beauty of pure nature🌠, bringing your family closer💖, and also instilling love and responsibility in your child
🔔The prairie parent-child plan is suitable for families with children aged 4⃣️ to 1⃣️4⃣️
🍃Hulunbuir Great Prairie🌿6-day 5-night route recommendation
Day1: Gather at Hailar, the pearl of Hulunbuir Prairie, free time.
Day2: Hailar - Crossing the Prairie - Viewing the world's foremost curved river - Asia's largest wetland - Ergun
Day3: Ergun - Fairy tale birch forest - Enhe Russian ethnic township to visit the descendants of Chinese Russians - Russian-style afternoon tea - Shiwei
Day4: Shiwei - Border checkpoint line - Horse riding across the prairie - Visit to a herder's home - Mongolian-style afternoon tea - Mongolian yurt camp - Roast whole lamb - Bonfire party
Day5: Mongolian yurt camp - China-Russia border line - Hulun Lake - Distant view of the national gate, Matryoshka Square brilliantly lit Manzhouli
Day6: Zhalainuoer Museum - Barhu Mongolian horseback riding performance - Hailar - Return to the warmth of home
【Gourmet】
The cuisine here is similar to Northeastern Chinese food, with generous portions, and beef and mutton are common, almost at every meal (I'm not very fond of mutton, but I can accept the grilled mutton skewers here). There are also characteristic Russian restaurants in Hailar and Manzhouli, and I had a delicious old-fashioned Northeastern spicy hot pot in Ergun! Northeastern barbecue is absolutely amazing~
🛫❗Packing for a trip with kids is the main event:
⭐Clothes: Check the weather forecast, we went in mid-August, the temperature was cool and comfortable, with a big difference between morning and evening, so bring a light jacket for the night, and for kids, try to wear quick-drying long pants, at least two pairs of shoes, adults can bring a pair of boots and a pair of sports shoes
⭐Items: Sunscreen spray, sun hat, face mask (necessary for horse riding), protective face mask, wet wipes, mosquito repellent
⭐Medicine: When traveling, the biggest fear is not acclimating to the local water and soil, Inner Mongolia mainly features beef and mutton, so bring good gastrointestinal medicine
Don't want to squeeze into popular tourist spots
Office workers are already tired of seeing people
Just like to take advantage of the holidays to discover more places with fewer people and beautiful scenery
ADA CUMMINGS
Deep in the prairies, one of the five major freshwater lakes in our country, the lake scenic area
🏨 Hulun Lake
🚉Transportation Strategy:
Manzhouli and Hailar both have airports, with direct flights from big cities, but flying to Hailar is cheaper than to Manzhouli. Hulunbuir is more suitable for chartered cars or self-driving. If there are fewer than four people, carpooling is an option!
🌟Highlights:
Hulun Lake, also known as Dalai Lake, is under the jurisdiction of Hulunbuir City in Inner Mongolia, located deep in the Hulunbuir prairie, and is one of the five major freshwater lakes in our country. It is a sister lake to Lake Buir, connected by the Wuerxun River.
❤Recommended Reason:
At the end of the prairie is an endless sea, giving a feeling akin to a real-life version of Zelda. However, this place is not abroad, it's Hulun Lake in Hulunbuir!
The color tone here is serene and melancholic, perfectly setting a blockbuster atmosphere. Some also say it resembles the White Cliffs of Dover in England. Coming here, one can feel the quiet and solitude.
📝Note tips:
For photography, it is recommended to bring a telephoto lens, drone, walkie-talkie, and not to wear green clothes... It is advised to visit during sunset, as this is when it is most beautiful, and the direction of the light makes the lake water appear particularly blue.
👍Most Recommended:
After navigating to the Genghis Khan Horse Post, look to the right in the distance for a place with a tower similar to a TV tower - that's the White Cliffs.

About the season and weather】
The summer and autumn are both beautiful

In July and August, the temperature is comfortable, the grass is the greenest, and there are many activities
In September and October, you can see the colorful forests and yellow leaves, the taste of autumn
🌞It's cool in the early morning and evening in summer, and it's sunny at noon
⚠️Precautions
🔺Do not fly to Hohhot, Hulunbuir flies to Hailar and Manzhouli
🔺Hulunbuir accommodation🏠 is diverse, like Mongolian yurts, wooden carvings, you can experience it, don't stay in one place
🔺The grassland🍃 is well-lit, with strong ultraviolet rays, it is recommended to bring sunscreen, sun umbrella☂️, sun hat, sunglasses🕶️ when playing
🔺Please respect the local customs and do not climb the Aobao or engage in disrespectful religious activities
🔺Carry some dry food or snacks with you, as the journey to the scenic spots is far, and most of the way is uninhabited grassland🍃, it is difficult to have a place to eat normally
🔺The temperature difference between day and night on the grassland🍃 is large, and it is cooler at night or when it rains in summer, so bring some warm clothes and rain gear, and a long-sleeved jacket🧥
✅Like a painting, the blue sky and white clouds, the vast grassland, herds of cattle and sheep, and the charming Russian style can also be experienced here, which is also a very suitable destination for parent-child travel oh
Hulunbuir 6-day 5-night guide❗
National Geographic does not deceive me; I accidentally stumbled into Hayao Miyazaki's fairy tale world! I finally understand why everyone wants to go to Hulunbuir to escape the summer heat❗
🚗This 6-day route includes Hulunbuir's popular attractions, such as the Morin Dawa River, Arxan, the Unfrozen River, Ergun Wetland, Hulun Lake, the Barhu Horse Dance, and more. Along the way, you'll also see vast forests, Nordic woods, Nara deer, and Monet's haystacks scattered across the grasslands... The grasslands have become the most eye-catching scenery
~
🐏As a local from Hulunbuir, I've summarized this super detailed guide. It's best to bookmark it for later, as it's useful no matter when you visit Hulunbuir.
Hulunbuir 6-day itinerary:
D1. Arrive at Hailar from all over the country, transfer to the hotel → free time
D2. Hailar → Hulunbuir Grassland → Morin Dawa River → Haji No-Man's Land Grassland → Ergun Wetland → Liliya Leba Bread → Stay in Ergun
D3. Ergun → Valley of Flowers → Birch Forest → Mongolwushiwei → Oroqen Manor → Shiwei

D6. Manzhouli → Windmill Road → Mammoth Park → Huhenuoer Grassland → Hailar
💯About the way to play
❌Join a tour bus, sleep on the bus, and pee when you get off. Traditional
❌Renting a car and self-driving can only visit the attractions found by navigation, then drive on the paved road from start to finish. Boring
✔️Off-road vehicles go deep into the grasslands, seeking that natural corner
✔️Horseback riding across the grasslands, bonfire parties, fireworks parties
🍬【Travel Tips】
🔖The weather in Inner Mongolia's grasslands is unpredictable, with large temperature differences between day and night, so bring warm and windproof clothing (avoid green clothes for photos)
🔖If possible, prepare a telephoto lens and walkie-talkies, as the distance for photography on the grassland is far, and try to get up early (it gets light around three o'clock)
🔖Pay attention to sun protection!
🔖Scenic spots generally charge a fee, so bring your student ID
🔖If you need to cross the grasslands, many attractions within the grasslands do not have map navigation, the grasslands are too vast, many places have no cell phone signal, and without an experienced leader, do not risk self-driving!
Take your children to the grasslands and into the homes of herders this holiday, become a true Mongolian for once, and experience life on the grasslands~ Who does this vast grassland belong to in their heart? 📌For everyday wear, short sleeves, long trousers, plus a thin jacket are the way to go, as the temperature drops further north on the grassland, especially at night, so remember to bring warm clothing.

1⃣️: Essential items (adjust according to the size of your child)
☝️Clothing: All of the kid's cool outfits are okay, but make sure to have both thick and thin ones (there's a big temperature difference between day and night, and lightweight down jackets are essential for stargazing). Ladies naturally bring various dresses👗
☝️Mosquito repellent, ID card, some cash, daily food for the kiddo (such as baby food), sunscreen (🎩sunscreen cream/spray, sun-protective clothing🕶️), toiletry bag, insulation pad (it's not good for the baby to drink raw water directly, try to bring boiled water), lip balm (it's quite dry, to prevent chapping)
The hustle and bustle of the city, the worries of life, are instantly dissolved by the vast embrace of the grasslands. The summer in Hulunbuir is enchanting, and the depths of the grasslands are even more intoxicating, where mountains, water, grass, and forests blend seamlessly together. It forms a spectacular and beautiful three-dimensional painting

✅ Travel item preparation
Hulunbuir is at a high latitude, with large temperature differences between day and night, strong sunlight on the grasslands, strong winds, and variable weather
So be sure to prepare sunscreen, a thicker coat or sweater, and an umbrella!
There's often no signal on the grasslands, so download offline maps ahead of time. Personally, I feel that the telecom network signal is slightly better than mobile in the grasslands
I'm planning to travel to Hulunbuir this summer vacation, and the strategy is all set. Sisters 👭 who want to come can also play according to this!

Visit the off-the-beaten-path scenery in Hulunbuir for a spring outing, and experience romance at the end of the world!
Come to Hulunbuir for a trip, this time we discovered an incredibly niche spot
It feels like romance at the end of the world!
This place is Hulun Lake~
📍 Transportation Guide
Navigate to "Hulun Lake Tie Horse Post" to get there
It's not a toll site, just park your car upon arrival
🚩 Travel Tips
✅ The whole Hulun Lake is quite large, but personally, I think just going to Tie Horse Post is enough, the scenery there is more spectacular
✅ It's recommended to bring a drone, the bird's-eye view is particularly stunning
✅ Due to geographical location and weather reasons, the grass here may not always be green (some photos I edited the colors, some I didn't, you can compare to see), I went in mid-June, the grass in other parts of Hulunbuir was all green, but not at Tie Horse Post, so be mentally prepared
✅ Hulun Lake is not a scenic spot, it's pure outdoor scenery, there are no restrooms or eateries, remember to bring your own food and drinking water
✅ Local herders will bring cattle and sheep, so the ground sanitation is average~

The White Cliffs of England? I'm just watching the sea on the Hulunbuir grasslands
Legend has it that there was a carefree couple in the Mongolian tribe on the grasslands, the woman named Hulun, who was outstanding in both talent and beauty, and the man named Beier, who was good at riding and archery.
However, there was always evil coveting beauty and destroying the grasslands. Hulun was abducted, and Beier fought against the evil to save Hulun at all costs.
Alas, the evil was too powerful, and Hulun turned into a vast lake to drown the enemies, while Beier, in deep grief, also transformed into a lake to eternally guard by Hulun's side. This is the origin of today's Hulun Lake and Beier Lake.
This is also why the name Hulunbuir sounds so appealing.
There's no need to go abroad to experience the romantic white cliffs and the azure lakes.
It turns out you can also see the sea in Hulunbuir!
I just came back from Inner Mongolia and have compiled a super detailed guide to Hulunbuir.
I'll answer any questions you have, see you in the comments section.
✈️ Fly directly to Hailar Airport (Hailar is usually cheaper than Manzhouli)
🚅 Direct train to Hailar Station
D1: Hailar - Crossing the grasslands - Morin Dawa Daur Autonomous Banner (scenery like computer wallpapers, herds of cattle and sheep along the way) - Cliff - Ergun Wetland Park - Ergun
D2: Ergun - Birch Forest - Enhe Russian Township - Shiwei
D3: Shiwei - Reindeer Park - Heishantou (also known as Kaxian: The most beautiful border road)
D4: Heishantou - Matryoshka Square - National Gate - Manzhouli
D5: Manzhouli - Hulun Lake - Hailar
❗️❗️❗️Note:
During the daily itinerary, there are many scenic spots along the way, all exceeding expectations. Stop and take pictures whenever you like, there's no need to stick to a certain spot, just enjoy the journey.
🔖 The weather on the Inner Mongolia grasslands is unpredictable, with large temperature differences between day and night, so bring warm and windproof clothing.
🔖 If possible, prepare walkie-talkies, as there is no signal on the grasslands when taking photos at a distance, to protect your voice.
🔖 Pay attention to sun protection!
🔖 Sunrise at four o'clock, sunset at eight o'clock, the sunset and afterglow last for a long time.
🔖 Scenic spots generally charge a fee, ranging from 10-100 yuan. Bring your student ID, horse riding costs 100-300 yuan, holding a sheep around 100 yuan, grass sliding 100 yuan, reindeer 60-100 yuan.
🔖 If you need to cross the grasslands, many scenic spots within the grasslands are not navigable by maps, the grasslands are too vast, and many places have no mobile signal❗️❗️❗️For first-timers, it is recommended to hire a car with a tour guide to play, the cost is not expensive, and local drivers are very familiar with the scenic spots, making eating, living, and playing more worry-free.

Lake Hulun
Lake Hulun, also known as Hulun Pool, Dalai Lake, Dalai Nor, means 'a lake like the sea' in Mongolian. Historically, it has been called Dazao, Julunbo, Kuolian Haizi, Hutuze, Xuanmo Pool, Kuleng Lake, etc. Lake Hulun belongs to the lake basin of the Erguna River, located between the New Barag Right Banner, New Barag Left Banner, and Jalainur District in the western part of the Hulun Buir grassland in Inner Mongolia. It is an irregular oblong shape, with the long axis from southwest to northeast. The lake is 93 kilometers long, with a maximum width of 41 kilometers, an average width of 32 kilometers, a circumference of 447 kilometers, a total area of 2,315 square kilometers, a maximum depth of 8 meters, an average depth of 5.7 meters, and a storage capacity of 13.85 billion cubic meters. It is the largest lake in Inner Mongolia.
The surface water system of Lake Hulun consists of Lake Hulun, Halaha River, Beier Lake, Wuerxun River, Kerulen River, Xinkai River, and the Dalan-Ero River that connects Lake Hulun with the Erguna River. The total basin area (domestic part) is 37,214 square kilometers. The Kerulen River and Wuerxun River are the main supply rivers, while the Xinkai River and Dalan-Ero River are the main regulating rivers.
The Lake Hulun area is the main birthplace of many nomadic nations in the north, such as the Donghu, Xiongnu, Xianbei, Shiwei, Huihu, Tujue, Khitan, Jurchen, Mongols, and other ethnic groups that once thrived here.
Located in the hinterland of the Hulun Buir grassland, Lake Hulun is known as the 'Pearl of the Grassland' and the 'Kidney of the Grassland.' It holds a special position in regional ecological and environmental protection, playing a very important role in maintaining the biodiversity of the Hulun Buir grassland and its rich animal and plant resources. Lake Hulun and its surrounding water system were listed in the Ramsar Convention's international important wetlands directory in January 2002, and in November 2002, it was approved to join the UNESCO World Network of Biosphere Reserves.

❌Group tour: (Bus) Early departure, bad group meals, easily taken to shopping spots, unexpected forced consumption, terrible experience
✅Chartered car travel: High freedom, start after waking up🚘 Stop anytime you see beautiful scenery, the driver is also a photographer📸, luggage handler🎒, and a local live map🗺, allowing adults to relax
✅Self-driving: Plan your route in advance, download offline navigation🧭, stick to asphalt roads❌ Do not cross herders' pastures at will‼️ Pay attention to speed limits on border highway 331⛔️, and watch out for cattle, horses, and sheep that may appear at night🐑
== === === Bring a small stool === === ==
⁉️What to avoid on a Hulunbuir trip⁉️
✅🌟About chartered cars: 👉If the driver asks you for a crossing fee or car wash fee, refuse and contact the business🙆♂️, because if your itinerary includes crossing, the travel agency has definitely paid the driver enough‼️ There's no such thing as asking for a car wash fee from the customer after crossing, just refuse❌
✅🌟About drivers: 👉Between a good driver and a good car, a good driver is more important🙋♂️ Most SUVs can handle the Hulunbuir circuit, but a considerate driver is the soul of the entire trip
✅🌟About prices: 👉Price determines quality👍 Some quotes are expensive because they include more items, better hotels, and different accommodations; cheap quotes usually only include one entrance ticket, and you have to pay extra for activities inside💰. In fact, many entertainment activities are free of admission‼️ Or they don't include some core items, such as expensive tickets for Matryoshka Square and Horse Dance‼️
✅🌟About routes: 👉If you are traveling with children and the elderly, the popular classic routes can fully satisfy your imagination of the grasslands without being bumpy or too long, and a daily distance of 100+ kilometers can be easily managed; niche crossing routes are comparatively bumpy, and children and the elderly are more likely to get carsick, and there are also higher requirements for the type of vehicle.
✅🌟About prices: 👉What suits you is the best~ Off-season 3K+, peak season 4K+ is a moderate price for a 6-day Hulunbuir circuit, any lower and the hotel quality may be worrying, more expensive ones include high-end hotels~ Choose based on your accommodation requirements
✅🌟About timing: 👉In early May, Hulunbuir is still in a state of strong winds, while in late May, the grass starts to sprout shallowly; 👍June offers the best value for money💐 with wildflowers everywhere, low prices, and fewer people; July-August is the peak season for grassland tourism, with more people and higher prices, but it's the most beautiful time on the Hulunbuir grasslands~ Worth having✨

Just returned from Inner Mongolia, super detailed guide, ask if you don't understand|||
|||.
This summer, you should definitely visit the great grasslands at least once.
Every day feels like moving through a wallpaper
Blue skies, white clouds, emerald green slopes, and flocks of sheep
It's like a fairy tale world.
I visited Hulunbuir again before the peak season this year, and by June, the grass had already started to turn green, marking the start of the best season to visit. This time, under the guidance of a tour leader, I deeply explored Hulunbuir, not just the grasslands, there are too many beautiful places.
I immediately organized a super detailed guide upon returning, feel free to ask if you don't understand🉑️‼️

🍜 'Food Guide'

⚠️ 'Some tips'
1⃣️ The peak season starts from late June, remember to prepare in advance.
2⃣️ The UV rays on the grassland are strong, so be sure to protect yourself from the sun
3⃣️ There's a big temperature difference between day and night, remember to bring a thick coat.
See you in the next note.

⭕ Things to note:
❎ Don't plan too many activities for your first trip to Hulunbuir; 2-3 attractions per day is enough to avoid spending all day in the car!
❎ For flights, choosing Hailar Dongshan Airport or Manzhouli West Suburb Airport is more convenient!
❎ When booking your trip, choose a local, reputable travel agency to avoid being scammed!
❎ When encountering herds on the grassland, detour instead of crossing through to avoid unnecessary trouble!
❎ Don't be tempted by cheap offers; choosing a low-priced tour might be a scam, so consider carefully!
·
Are you ready? Come to Hulunbuir with your friends and experience the charm of the great grasslands!💨🌾🐎

I thought Xinjiang was already very beautiful, until I went to Inner Mongolia
I thought Xinjiang was already very beautiful, until I went to Inner Mongolia last week I accidentally brushed a video
The stacks of hay all over the mountains are placed on the golden grassland, and the cows are eating grass leisurely on the side, this healing picture instantly attracted me
I booked the plane ticket that night, and I couldn't wait to hit the grassland! I immediately organized a super detailed strategy after the trip, and welcome to ask questions at any time~
🚘【About transportation】
Landing at Hailar Airport, the chartered driver contacted online in advance will pick up and drop off all the way, super worry-free❗️ Skilled drivers can also choose to rent a car locally
🗺️【5-day 4-night itinerary】

D2: Heishantou-Visit Herders-The Most Beautiful Border Road-Matryoshka Square-National Gate
D3: Manzhouli-Hulun Lake-New Barhu Grassland-Wuli Spring-Aershan
D4: Aershan Park-Camel Hump Ridge-Azalea Lake-Santan Gorge
D5: Aershan Park-Rose Peak-Bayan Hushuo Grassland-Return to Hailar
✅【5 things to experience in Inner Mongolia】
❶Visit herders to experience the joy of archery and feeding lambs
❷Go to Heishantou to ride a horse to watch the sunset
❸Eat a authentic Russian meal in Manzhouli
❹Go to the deer park to feed reindeer
❺Try the authentic Inner Mongolian roast whole lamb
🍽️【Food Guide】
Without exaggeration, I gained several pounds in Inner Mongolia for five days... It's all because of the roast lamb chops, beef pies, and milk tea in Inner Mongolia🤣 In addition, various Russian ice creams, chocolates, and sausages are also worth a try
⚠️【Travel Tips】
❶The temperature difference between morning and evening is very large, remember to bring down jackets and other thick clothes for travel in October
❷Inner Mongolia is much larger than you think, be sure to make a strategy before traveling. If you want to be convenient, you can directly find a travel agency like me to plan the route, book hotel rooms and charter drivers, etc.
❸Don't enter the hay stacks and private grasslands that can be seen everywhere on the roadside! If you want to go in and take pictures, you must get the consent of the grassland owner

Hulun Lake, meet the 'sea' at the end of the grassland!
In Inner Mongolia, there is a vast grassland, fat cattle and sheep, and even such a vast and vast Hulun Lake like the sea! Really love it!
Travel Guide:
Scenic spot: Hulun Lake - Genghis Khan hitching post
Navigation positioning: Genghis Khan hitching post, 1.5 hours away from Manzhouli.

❤Recommended reason:
The car can be driven to the lakeside to appreciate the original ecological scenery, away from the hustle and bustle to experience the return to nature, the Hulun Lake under the sunset is even more stunning and moving.
