Huangshanlu is the largest open forest park in Guangzhou, covering an area of 22 square kilometers (similar to Baiyun Mountain), with a main peak of 295 meters above sea level, which is the highest peak in the southern region of Guangzhou. Climbing to the top of the peak, you can overlook the whole Nansha and surrounding areas. According to the on-site investigation by experts from the South China Institute of Endangered Plants and Animals, Huangshanlu Forest Park is rich in wild plants and animals, and many precious wild species have been found. The vegetation is rich, and it is a natural oxygen bar in Nansha District. Here, the trees are shaded, the birds are singing, the shadows of the trees are mottled, and the bauhinia flowers are looming. The key is that there are few people and it is comfortable, with a fresh tone!
Huangshanlu has beautiful scenery, with lakes and mountains, pavilions and bridges, and the internal roads are well built. There are different flowers all year round. In the early years, you could drive into the mountain, but now private cars are prohibited from entering, which is safer and more environmentally friendly.
There are two routes in Huangshanlu Forest Park: one is the lake line, and the other is the climbing line. It depends on how you want to play. If you only play the lake line, enter from the East Gate, and there are all kinds of flowers and plants around Baishui Lake; if you want to climb the mountain, enter from the West Gate, and you will find the climbing path.
🚶Hiking guide
✅Health route (about 7 km, 2 hours): Start from the West Gate → walk along the lake → Camellia Garden → Yicui Pavilion → go up the mountain to the right at 2.2 km → climb to the top of Huangshanlu → Yingcui Pavilion → return to the starting point after circling the lake
The whole route is a cement road, almost a gentle road, with more scenery, and most of the lawns, lakes, and flower clusters are on this road. There are many camping and photo-taking spots, with no difficulty, and no panoramic view. It is expected to take 2 hours to walk and stop.
✅ Special forces route (about 13 km, 5 hours): Start from the West Gate → walk along the lake → Camellia Garden → Yicui Pavilion → enter the dirt road at 2.1 km → see the golf course at 3.5 km → Litchi Garden → Feiyun Peak → climb to the top of Huangshanlu → Yingcui Pavilion → return to the starting point after circling the lake
It is divided into cement roads and stone steps. The cement road is wide, and you can see the scenery of the mountainside and the foot of the mountain, but it will be a little sunny; the stone steps are relatively cool, but more tiring; overall, there is no difficulty, and you can see the sea after reaching the top. You can overlook the sea view of Nansha, Shiziyang, and Humen Bridge on the top of the mountain...
