🔥Take a stroll through the old riverside community of Hua Takhe Market. This vintage-style market features cafes, restaurants, noodle shops, traditional desserts, 90s toys, snacks, and an art gallery.
🔥The atmosphere is lively, bustling, and vibrant. Being a riverside community, you can witness life along the canal. There are waterfront viewpoints and a bridge over the canal. Overall, it's a great place. Highly recommended.

❤️On a holiday, I had the opportunity to take the Eastern Line train to Hua Takhe Old Market. I traveled from Hua Lamphong and got off at Hua Takhe, and then walked to the market.

Riverside cafe with a great vibe at Hua Takhe
Hua Takhe Intersection Cafe and Guesthouse ‼️🏬🐱 This is a homey riverside cafe located in the old Hua Takhe market. It serves as both a cafe and accommodation for tourists, giving a nostalgic feeling like going back to childhood while enjoying the chill atmosphere by the water. They offer savory dishes, desserts, and drinks. I went with two friends, and here’s the food cost: - Crispy pork basil for 80 THB per plate (a bit pricey, but the taste is quite good) - Thai iced tea 45 THB - Coke 15 THB - Plain ice 2 THB per glass The atmosphere is really nice. If you like to relax and chill, I think this place is quite interesting because I ended up sitting so long I didn’t want to leave 😅 Don’t miss out on the comfortable atmosphere.

Places to visit in Bangkok
If anyone is looking for a chill place to visit near the city, I recommend this spot: Hua Takhe Old Market.
You can enjoy art and experience the old wooden market community by the canal. The atmosphere is great, with cafes to sit and sip drinks and coffee. The highlight here is the painting cafe 🎨, a relaxing activity that I want everyone to try. I attended a painting workshop and letting my mind relax was another kind of fun. It was definitely a great day off 😊💖

Crocodile Head, a cool place to visit for artsy people.
#ArtisticTourism
🎨Today we have #ArtisticTourism to recommend. This place is "Hua Takhe", an old market community along the Hua Takhe Canal. There are shops and restaurants owned by the people in the community that are still open to tourists.
🎨For art lovers, this is a must-see because this place is considered an art source, both in terms of the art of the old, classic houses and the unique graffiti images on the walls here.
🎨In addition, there is an art gallery, both paintings and line drawings, and there is also a studio for tourists to sit and paint, expressing the artist's mood in a chill atmosphere by the canal.

We went at noon, there weren't many people, there was plenty of parking, and there was a lot of food, plus the prices were not expensive and delicious. The shop we went to draw is highly recommended. The atmosphere is great, there are drinks you can order and eat all the time, and the prices are not expensive.
If anyone has free time, I recommend it. You have to come. 🩵

Take a tour of the old Huata Khe market, Lat Krabang Soi 17.
Hello everyone, because we are bored with the chaos of the city,
So we escaped to see the old days and absorb the riverside lifestyle.
I must say that we don't have to go far out of town because it's right here in Lat Krabang.
That is "Old Market Hua Takhe 🐊"
How to get there: The market is located in Soi Lat Krabang 17. Drive into the alley. There will be a parking lot on the right. The parking fee is only 10 baht.
Attractions: It's like an old floating market by the river. The market is quite cool and comfortable. There is a breeze blowing through. It's not very crowded. It's probably because we went in the evening. 55555
The market opens: 06.00-17.00
Most of the shops are noodle shops and coffee shops by the river. You can sit and relax and enjoy the view. There are also snack shops that were popular when we were kids.
If you have time, I recommend you to try it because you can support the vendors and generate income for the community.

The charm of community and art
Traveling near Bangkok, many people should know about Hua Takhe Market, an old market community by the canal that still preserves its original style very well, both the atmosphere and the beautiful vintage houses that are hard to find. 🖼
🥤 This time, we walked around looking for delicious food at many shops. There are many coloring activities, cafes, restaurants to choose from, including cute vintage souvenirs. If anyone wants to try changing the atmosphere, we recommend you to stop by and visit. The market is now fully open for service.

Relive the past by taking a boat trip to the old Hua Takhe Market.
#VisitBangkok
Today, we will take you back in time to the old Hua Takhe Market, a community along the Prawet Burirom Canal, hidden in Lat Krabang District. Although there are more roads cutting through the area today, this community seems to have never been touched by time. Old wooden houses still line the banks. The sound of long-tailed engines can still be heard from time to time. Villagers still use rowboats as their main means of transportation. There is also a shaky wooden walkway that villagers still use to this day.
Back in the reign of King Rama V, this community used to be the center of the suburbs of Bangkok because it was the intersection of three canals: Khlong Charoen, Khlong Pla Thio, and Khlong Prawet. This made people come to trade and exchange agricultural products. However, when the development of roads came, this market began to decline and was neglected for decades. Now, the community has returned to preserve and develop the community to be lively again, making this place a very charming tourist attraction in the suburbs of Bangkok.
One of the symbols of the Hua Takhe community is the high bridge across the canal. On both sides of the bridge, you can see the water stretching as far as the eye can see. The bridge is flanked by tall electric poles. On both sides of the canal, you will see hundreds of single-storey wooden houses lined up. This is a popular photo spot that you can’t miss.
Although the old market of Hua Ta Khe has been renovated and developed to keep up with the development that has come to play a role in the present era, there is still a sense of the past left in almost every atom, whether it be traditional grocery stores, traditional Thai dessert shops, familiar childhood toy shops. There are activities for those interested in trying out Chula kites, making traditional boiled desserts using shredded lotus stems that are easily found in the Hua Ta Khe community, creating things from leftover materials, which is a project of the Suksa Phatthana School, the only school in the old market of Hua Ta Khe, a place to learn and display art works, and a cafe decorated in tones that match the atmosphere of the community.
You can get to Hua Ta Khe Market by car (park at Udomphon fresh market), train and get off at Hua Ta Khe train station, Airport Rail Link and get off at Lat Krabang station, then take a car to Udomphon fresh market. Or if anyone wants to take a boat trip, there are long-tail boats that take you around Lat Krabang from Wat Ratchakosa to the old market of Hua Ta Khe, which will give you a different kind of atmosphere.

Flower exhibition to relieve COVID-19 stress 🌸
🌷Rak Dok Floral Weeks | First Flowers (smile) Smile 🌷
Flower exhibition in memory of 2020
After the heavy haze of the COVID situation in the early part of the year, activities that help soothe the mind have gained a lot of attention. One of them is the "Rak Dok Floral Weeks | First Flowers (smile) Smile" exhibition, which has a total of 12 display points scattered throughout shops and cafes, with 7 points each. Each point will apply flowers to fit each shop, such as boats, arches, and shop doors. Inside the hall, there are 5 more display points, and the highlight of the event is "How U Remind Me?" which will have a wooden boat set amidst purple flowers. Everyone must come and take a picture here. However, due to the COVID situation, the organizers have limited the number of visitors to this point to only 192 queues per day, divided into rounds starting to distribute queue cards at 9:30 am. The organizers have photographers available for hire at 999.50 baht per hour, or you can take a picture of the boat area for only 200 baht (cr.Ratchan).

🏚️Old Crocodile Market🌳🐊
Bangkok One Day Trip, Old Market Huata Khe
Old Market Huata Khe was originally called "Old Market of Wooden House, Luang Phrot-Than Liam", named after the person who donated the land to build the market along the Prawet Burirom Canal. The origin of the name, Chumchom Huata Khe, came from the fact that crocodiles were abundant in this area, so it has been used as the name until today.
🍃 The atmosphere inside Old Market Huata Khe feels like you are riding a time machine and traveling back in time to experience the simple and unhurried lifestyle of the villagers, completely disconnected from the outside world in the city. Inside Old Market Huata Khe, there are many shops and grocery stores, as well as restaurants and cafes where you can sit and enjoy the shady atmosphere along the canal.

Hua Ta Khe Old Market: Take a trip back to your childhood in the heart of Bangkok
The atmosphere was wonderful. This was my first time here. I'd heard before that people enjoyed taking boat trips with cats along the river. When we arrived, there was parking near the market. We drove through a very crowded fresh market, lined with pedestrians and motorcyclists. When we reached the parking lot, we paid 10 baht to park. Then, we walked into a small alley with painted murals to a bridge. Crossing the bridge, we reached the old Hua Takhe Market.
The market itself had a wonderful atmosphere. It was an old wooden structure, reminiscent of the past, with shops and houses where people actually lived. It didn't feel like a completely new construction like you might find at a floating market outside the city. However, this market still retains its charm, and it's so close to Bangkok.
Most of the stalls offered food, including pad thai, noodles, and spicy chicken rice salad. There was an auntie selling freshly made coconut pancakes, and a traditional drink shop selling sparkling plums.
Interesting activities: There were kayaks for us to paddle along the river to collect trash, helping the community and nature. There were boat trips with cats on board. There were also shops for those who wanted to relax and paint on canvas. There were white canvases where you could paint your own designs, or canvases with pre-drawn outlines. Just coloring in the correct colors is another fun way to go.
What's interesting is that there are so many antiques here, from snacks we ate as children to toys we used to play with as children. There's everything, like snacks that pop in your mouth and rocks that attract each other based on gravity.
Let's summarize what we brought home:
- Rubber geckos for the cat to play with (7 baht)
- Dry noodles to take home
- Traditional Pad Thai
- Baked bananas with butter
I recommend coming early to stroll through the old market and have breakfast. It's perfect for a couple or family gathering.

A nostalgia market along the canal where time passes slowly
Hua Take Old Market is located a little way from the center of Bangkok.
Rather than a tourist spot, it has a comfortable atmosphere of a market where local people still live.
Old wooden shopping streets and a lazily flowing canal.
Cafes, general stores, food stalls, cats... No matter where you look, there is a nostalgic atmosphere.
There are few tourists, so you can walk quietly while experiencing the smiles of local people.
This is the "original scenery of Thailand" that is irresistible for lovers of retro and old towns.
