Affordable business hotel in the old town of Poznan, Poland, located in the city center of Poznan, in front of the Fontanna Wolności Square Park. In the center of the square there is a fountain that looks like the wings of a sailboat, and there is a light show at night. You can either use the elevator or use your own feet to climb up 185 steps to the top. The student ticket is €1 so remember to bring the valid student ID! You can also the museum in the castle with the ticket as well.

It took me 2 hours to get there by train. The ticket is half price if you are a student with a valid physical student card. unfortunately when I was there, the old market square was under construction lol but the royal palace only cost me €1 (student price!)

Starting in Poznań, I was immediately drawn to the colorful Old Market Square, where each townhouse seemed like a painting. Watching the mechanical goats at the Town Hall strike noon was a fun tradition to witness. I also visited Ostrów Tumski, where Poland's first rulers were baptized, making it a key site in the country’s history. A short train ride brought me to Gniezno, Poland’s first capital and an important spiritual center. The highlight was the stunning Gniezno Cathedral, home to the legendary bronze doors depicting the life of St. Adalbert. Visited this camp in Poznan. Without giving too much away to those who wish to visit, I'll summarise briefly. This was a former Polish Military Fort which was taken over by the Germans during WW2. they converted it into a concentration camp initially for Top Polish citizens. This was the first camp where they used a gas chamber for mass murder. We visited and it was empty, just us. We moved round the Fort reading as much as we could...not everything is in English but we used our phones for Google translate. It took about 2 hours to go round and cost 12zloty(about £2.50) to go in. Was harrowing, intriguing, informative and very worth a visit.
