Playing at Wang'ershan Water Park
Last time, our plan to visit Wang'ershan Water Park was disrupted by a sudden water pump failure. This time, we are going again. Considering our family's schedule, we will stay overnight on Friday at the Qinheyuan Hotel.
This time, we booked a 100-square-meter Japanese-style family room, which is particularly suitable for families with elderly and children. It offers great value for money. The only issue is that the beds are hard, and the tatami room is even harder. Everything else is fine. There is a microwave and a refrigerator, so you can bring fruits, milk, and even meals. The living room is spacious, with a coffee table and dining table. Disposable items are limited, so it's best to bring your own toilet seat cover and toiletries, including a shower cap. Bring other items according to your accommodation habits. The room has underfloor heating in winter, making it very warm inside, so remember to bring short sleeves.
On Saturday, we will enjoy the water park. The temperature inside the water park is comfortable, but it can be chilly near the entrance. Towels are not provided, only bath towels, which can be exchanged when wet. The children's play area is very satisfying, with water slides, drifting, a children's naughty castle, and a book house on the second floor. The large slide and wave pool open after 11 o'clock. It's best to bring beach shoes for the kids. There is also an indoor hot spring, and although there aren't many outdoor pools, they can still meet the needs of the elderly for soaking in hot springs. Be sure to bring swimsuits, swim caps, and swim rings. The swim rings inside are only for sale, not for rent, and they are not cheap. It's also a good idea to bring an extra children's swim ring. If you have an automatic inflator, remember to adjust the pressure properly to avoid disappointing the little one by bursting it.
There are no tables or chairs in the water park play area, but hot water and disposable cups are provided. Food is not allowed inside, but drinks are. However, considering the kids, it's impossible not to bring some snacks secretly to replenish their energy. Lunch is available at the second-floor restaurant, which offers à la carte options but no buffet. The prices are not low, with main dishes starting at 28 yuan, including Korean bibimbap, dumplings, rice bowls, and pizza. There is a tatami machine, and you can order by scanning a QR code. The watermelon juice that the kids wanted is freshly cut and made, which instantly feels worth the price. The other dishes taste good, and the portions are decent, but they are indeed expensive.
