Hoshida Park and Hoshi no Buranko Suspension Bridge
Hoshida Park is a large public park located in the eastern part of Osaka. It is an ideal spot for hiking during the autumn season, with its cool and comfortable weather and shady trees.
To get there, you can rent a car and park at the park's parking lot (there is a parking fee). For public transportation, you can take a train to Kisaichi Station and then walk to the park. There is a designated walkway along the river, but it involves quite a bit of stair climbing. Alternatively, you can walk along the road, but it is not recommended due to the narrow shoulder.
The highlight of the park is the Hoshi no Buranko Bridge, a large suspension bridge that spans between two mountains within the park. The view from the middle of the bridge is stunning, especially in early December when most of the leaves have turned brown, creating a unique and beautiful scenery.
It is recommended to stop by the administration area near the rock climbing wall to use the restroom and grab a map. This is the only spot where you can buy water and food, and the next restroom is quite far and requires a significant uphill walk.
