During my journey to finding things to see and do in Hong Kong, I was starting to feel a little peckish after walking around for some time. I stumbled into the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center and took a peek at some of the lunch offerings. That's when I stopped at the Harbour Road Cafe, a quiet and cozy spot within the convention center. I walked inside to see a neat wall of coffer makers, lots of big seating spaces, and a comfy couch for me to sit on. I sat quietly and ate my lunch. What really makes HK pleasant is that the staff I've approached thus far friendly, professional, and accommodating. It always makes my travels there extra special. So thrilled to have Art Basel back to full size of two floors! I have managed to get the VIP pass but it was really so packed during public hours! Walked for almost the whole day from 11am to 6pm on Sunday, happy to see the art pieces and galleries from around the world. No more restrictions for anything - the food service is back! there are collectors lounge, café outside and inside the main hall. Art Basel is an annual art showpiece, exhibiting international art from around the globe. Tickets usually sell fast and it's one of the highlights of the cultural calendar. The art is modern, vibrant and usually socially relevant. Located in the Convention and exhibition center it runs during the end of March (2023 its March 23-25). With the beautiful view of the sea. Convention Avenue is the place to enjoy it. After a nice meal, walk down to Convention Ave and walk along the walkway. Enjoy the relaxing sounds of the waves and watch the fishermen fishing for fish. You can take this walk all the way down to the shopping mall. Along the way, you can see a few shops and people camping out and enjoying the view. I definitely recommend this place for a nice evening out with family or friends. #newyearadventure

This year food expo offers a lot of goods, mostly are dried, frozen or packages products with cheaper prices if you buy food in bulks (like 4/5 items for HK$100). There you can find durians, abalone in cans, preserved sausage, traditional or ice mooncake, frozen seafood, meats, processed meats, or snacks and beverage from Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, or Japan. Ticket can be bought online, which cost 25 HKD. And later you can choose to pick it up at the ticketing counter at the contention and exhibition centre. Tips: better go early in the morning as it gets really crowded in the afternoon. a lot of stalls allow payment by octopus, payme or alipay so you can use your consumption voucher. #food #expo

World of snack, sport and leisure expo are held together with the book fair at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, just on different floors. The ticket to book fair (25 HKD) is already included to these exhibition. In one big hall, the exhibition of snacks, leisure and sport, also electronics are held side by side. The snack exhibition itself was only a few rows of sellers. But it was much more crowded than the book fair itself. I went around for a while and ended up going back early because it was just too crowded. They have different kind of snacks (sweet, salty and spicy) and some are from south East Asian countries like Thailand or Indonesia. But some of the snacks are not too special, at least for me. #annualfair #snack

The Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center is easy to access, we arrived here by taking a ferry and then walking along Victoria harbour. The expos are mostly free but you have to register first. The building itself is very clean and the staff is very nice.

#Artbasel an amazing show this year

The three-day Asian Vegetarian Expo has officially begun! The opening day was bustling with people, featuring over 600 brands ranging from vegetarian food, coffee, tea, health products to wellness items. It's a must-visit for those interested in green living! This year, I've spotted quite a few noteworthy products. For instance, the Mars protein powder I often eat when working out has a vegetarian version - pea protein powder with a sweet milk tea flavor that's quite palatable. For coffee lovers, Eden Cafe selects sustainably grown coffee beans from around the world. Their drip coffee bags come in various flavors; the whiskey-flavored one I tried today had a creamy aroma and even a hint of pear wood barrel taste. There are also different fruity options for those who love fruity aromas. In terms of food, I particularly like the Hong Kong brand Rayca's Chocolate. Their nutty chocolates are fragrant, tasty, and have a great texture. Their award-winning Oolong tea nut chocolate is simply irresistible! The New Year decorations at the Wan Chai Convention and Exhibition Center are quite nice! I recently went to the Wan Chai Convention and Exhibition Center to watch a performance, and I was attracted by this New Year decoration. Especially the decorations in the shape of a dragon, with its head high and its body winding, surrounded by colored lights, floral decorations and gold ingots. Every detail is full of artistic sense. At night, this decoration sparkles even more under the lights, adding a strong festive atmosphere to the entire square.
